Well girls… I was planning on an leisurely, after dinner post but I have a feeling if I don’t pop it up now, it’ll be Christmas before I get to show you my sun room all done up for Halloween.
My day started off okay…
I waited for the rain to stop and a peek of sun to show up so I could snap a few photos for my post.
The sun showed up. Yay for me.
Then I did the regular mom stuff like laundry and picking up the house.
When it was time to pick up my some from school for his orthodontist appointment, my car decided it was staying put and did not want to move out of “Park”. I won’t repeat what names I called her. If no one heard, you can’t prove I said it, right?
That will be dealt with tomorrow though… for now, I’ll pretend everything is fabulous and we’ll look at my Fall pretties =)
I Am So Excited To Share…
lots~o~pictures. hope ya don’t mind?
Getting in the spirit for Halloween
This is the bar in our sun room.
We have never eaten in here the entire time we have lived in this house. So now, I pretty much do whatever I like and it doesn’t cramp any one’s style or get in the way.
Which works out great for me!
I picked up the silver tray at Good Will last year at this time and have used it somewhere in the house ever since. I added a Dollar Store crow in the plant. They are perfect to set the mood.
If you like bird cages… try ROSS.
This was under $10~
And let me tell you, I grabbed it so fast, your head would have spun off if you were too close.
I looked and looked for a cute little owl all Summer.
Where did I finally find one? You guessed it, ROSS.
Are you sensing a theme here?
I’ll tell ya a secret, I am a total ROSS addict.
It’s my crack.
Gotta have a chalkboard! This was hanging in my hallway.
I used my recipe book holder to display it.
(No problem, because lets face it, I don’t cook anyway)
That shabby white garden art piece on the bench is from Pretty in Paint at The Mercantile.
—Here is a link to the blog—
My dad & I built the bench from old fence boards and it got new green paint job a few months ago. I think I am going to change it again though… not sure what color?
This Qt was spray painted with bronze metallic paint.
I love, love, love this little guy!
I planned to do more but the weather was not cooperating.
Mother Nature was having a hissy with lots of wind and rain.
These pearly pretties were painted with
FOLK ART brand acrylic craft paint in
#2484 Champagne.
(I did paint the larger, originally classic orange pumpkin with some Kilz spray primer first)
These paints went on so rich and creamy.
The pumpkins just glow and shimmer.
Mmm… I love things that sparkle!
I think I am going to transform a few candle sticks next…
In my last post, I added a photo of a mini pumpkin in glass and said I would try it out, so here is my version with a few leaves in the bottom.
Quick, easy and I think pretty cute.
Those mini pumpkins look great just about anywhere.
Hope that got you in the “spirit” for Halloween!
Halloween is my favorite!
I know I might start a little early, but I can’t help it!
What are you doing to get ready for Fall?
PS~Thanks for helping me keep my mind off my car

What pretty pumpkins you have in your patch! Love the colors.
You’ve been SUPER busy getting into the fall spirit, Shannon! It’s nice to have a space that you can play with that doesn’t get anyone’s panties in a bunch.
Sorry about your car. I know that blows. I hope it turns out to be something really teensy. I’ll send good karma in a northwesterly direction. Have a great week!
HI there! Dibbiedoos put a link on Facebook to your blog so I thought I would pop over! LOVE it! I am your newest follower now. XO, Pinky
