I was pondering something the other day…
What Do You Like Best About This Blog?
I really am curious to know what you enjoy most about
Fox Hollow Cottage.
Because I would like to do more of “that”!
Whatever “that” may be.
So far, I’ve been sharing;
1. Guest Posts from other bloggers.
2. Before & After Reveals.
3. Seasonal Decor.
3. How-To Tutorials.
4. Personal Stories.
5. And a Partridge in a Spring Mantel Link Party.
Is there anything you’d like to
see more+ or less- of?
I’d sure appreciate your feedback!
And while I have you here…
I have been tossing around the idea
of a
NEW SERIES
for a few months now.
I don’t know if it’s already being done?
I sure hope not.
Blog land is a big place though.
(It’s global you know)
So, these are my TWO ideas;
{I know. My heads hurts now.}
One, is to take a specific area of the home
and style it 3 ways, using the same basic items.
My thought is to showcase a variety of
“accessory placement options”.
Two, I’d like to take, say…
a coffee table, vanity or sofa
and style it 3 different ways
using different items
to create three fresh “looks”.
Example;
Perhaps… Shabby, Coastal & French Country.
Now, I don’t fancy myself some sort of decorating guru or anything, but I do think it could be fun!
I figured there might be one or two people out there that would like to see how you can change things up and get different looks out of your items.
You know… a little,
“More bang for your Buck!”
Well, that’s it from me today.

I’ve been thinking about the very same thing! I love the “one area, two (or three) ways” idea! I go through that same process almost daily and it’s fun to see the hug difference that just a few accessories can make! I can’t wait to see what you decide!

before and after reveals are my favorite and i like option 2! there.
As a newer follower & blogger I have enjoyed your Before & After Reveals, Seasonal Decor, How-To Tutorials, Personal Stories and the Spring Mantel Link Party. I also like your idea of reinventing a piece of furniture 3 ways. I think everyone can benefit from that especially if they can’t afford to purchase a new piece of furniture.
Personally, I LOVE everything you have shared thus far. It is a perfect diversity to blogging. I really love your new idea for the series..that would be fun, cost us nothing, and give us new ideas. Perhaps you could pick a theme of the week for the table…flower and cloches, bird cages and plants, books and candles, etc..you get the gist. That would be fun too!
I love you just the way you are at Fox Hollow…I think the idea of the 3 different ways decor is fabulous! It will be so much fun and help us push our creativity a little farther and maybe become better decorators and help us find new ways to use what we already have!

I think both of those are great ideas! I know I sometimes get stuck in a rut, or think that I can’t change my “style” without also changing all the furniture! (And that’s a little too expensive
) I would love to see you explore both of those ideas!

Oh sweet Shannon, I follow several blogs for inspiration but if I’m looking for “all that and a bag of chips” I know where to come. I hate to admit this but there are several blogs that I visit just for the pics without bothering to read because they’re…well…blah. With you, I know I’ll always come away with a smile on my face and my spirits lifted and, for that, I thank you. You know that I can’t possibly answer this question! I love EVERYTHING that you do and I’m kinda drawn to you, yourself. I like your whole crazy, silly, style of writing. You’re real, you’re yourself and I know exactly who you are by the way you write. Is that weird?
I love everything about your blog but the before/after posts are my fave with personal posts coming in second. I just love getting to know the girl behind the blog.
And love the idea of restyling an area. I do that almost everyday! Okay. A bit of an exaggeration. I do rearrange every time I clean but that’s certainly not every day. (Feels like it sometimes, though!)

Shannon girl, I just love everything about you! I like the variety because I get to see your fab decor (which I love) and yet other posts show your fun sense of humor. I am always wondering the same thing about myself. I seem to jump around alot. Never was one of those girls that could stick to just one thing. lol! I think the party sounds fun. Heavens know that I am redecorating often enough. All of my friends tease me and say if they blink my home will be decorated entirely different.
