How To Make Any Mirror Spooky for Halloween

How to Make Any Regular Mirror
Look Spooky for Halloween
I’m going to pass on this great little tip on how to get your mirror in the Halloween spirit just in case that is the look you’re going for!

So, I’m going for this
Classy, “Gothic-Chic” Halloween look..
(not saying I achieved it. lol)
And I’m thinking, baby powder would be perfect to make the mirror look foggy/dusty.

Hmm, baby powder is not going to just stick to a mirror… but I know what does!
HAIRSPRAY.

I’ve been cleaning that off bathroom mirrors since the 80′s and that pink & white can of Aqua Net ruled my world.

I sprayed a light coat of hairspray on the mirror, then a sprinkling of baby powder.
I grabbed my swiffer from the cleaning shelf and lightly dispersed the powder across the surface, so it’s was dusted, not clumped!
I repeated this 3 times to get a nice build-up and that gave off the perfect sort of hazy look I wanted.

Of course, getting a picture of a mirror is a real pain!
You either get not much contrast
or all the background noise of what it reflects.

It’s really cool in person.

Promise.
All hazy, blurry and ghosty looking.

Update; Here is a better picture.

I googled and searched all sorts of
baby powder+mirror+Halloween combos and I didn’t see this method anywhere! I did see one article using baby oil to
write in the powder, but that was it.
(and not the look I was going for.)

My big mirror will anchor the mantel
and I’ll build up the other decor around it.
Still working on a few things ;)

Nothing like waiting until the last minute.
Right?

Hope you can join us for the
