Winter White Christmas Church
{a Goodwill makeover}
I’ve got another Cheap & Easy project to share.
You know how the thrift stores are
loaded with those cast off
mini villages during the holiday season?
Or, maybe just village parts.
(Not to be confused with Village People)
Candy shops.
Toys stores…
and Churches.
Well, I ran across a little church for $1.50
and this is what I did with it.
The Makeover;
(No Village People makeovers though, kay?)

Shannon, that is so pretty. What a great idea.
Very pretty and thrifty project, Shannon! I love it white and I love how the glitter give it a snowy look.
I would like to makeover my Christmas parts, but that would require a plastic surgeon.
What a fabulous idea, Shannon! I would never have thought to do that! Just might have to make a trip to GW!!
HA, Shannon- Great minds think alike. I have been doing the same thing. I will race you to Goodwill! xo Diana

What a great idea. Super cute!
Great makeover !!
So pretty! I bought a few pieces like this at a thrift store with the idea of painting them white, but was afraid they would look too plain. I love the glitter idea- brilliant! and sparkly!
I love that church!!!! Can’t wait to see how you use it in your decor this year!
I can see why you have had alot of interest in this church. Here’s mine: http://pattyspthings.blogspot.com/2012/11/my-glittery-church.html
Thanks again for the idea!
I agree that a whole village of white ones would be cute. Makes me sorry I passed all those cheapies up at garage sales this summer.
YMCA…. it’s fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A….

That’s very pretty; it looks as though a heavy snowfall had just occurred.

Great job. I see those little houses all the time. I can’t wait to try that. I recently bought some bottle brush trees from Goodwill that need a makeover. I will send you pics as soon as I get them done. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Oh! A Definate Winner! Love it!
Definitely improved. I actually think it’s cute now. Might be interesting in a Christmas centerpiece.
Great makeover – but why can’t I leave a Village People joke? You know I’m dying to!

This is one of my favorites! I love that you turned one of those cheap little houses into something so pretty…I want an entire village of these!
This is so adorable. D’oh! I was JUST at Goodwill this morning and debating whether I should buy any of that little Christmas village stuff, and paint it white. I love the Glitter addition, that puts it over the top. You are so clever!
Shannon, what a great little church! You gave it a new fresh life! I bet that finds a special place in you home this Christmas.
