Aloha Summer Wreath & Fun In The Sun
Thanks for popping by the Fun in the Sun Blog Hop!
Summer is officially here.. and should arrive in Oregon some time in August.
So in celebration of the season I got my Summahtime craft on.
I got all Aloha on a pool noodle and came up with some fun Summer door decor to share!
It’s not on a door, because we are having lovely 40 MPH winds and it’s super gusty out.
(but I’m sure this will do? right!)
I finally got to use some Washi tape!
First time ever.
I’m a “Washi” virgin no longer. I swear, I am always so behind.
I used some on the flips (Dollar Tree of course!), and some on the little paper tags.
It reminds me of Hawaii.
I can almost hear the waves now…
Oh wait. That’s just the wind howling.
Yep. Still here in Oregon.
I guess some coastline is better then none.
It is beautiful here, the beach just isn’t quite the same though. LOL!
So, I keep my little slice of Hawaii on a shelf.
In my home. Out of the wind. Where I dream of Summer. And my next trip to the Islands…
But enough about me!!
I’m lucky enough to be joining up with this super-talented group of 13 other bloggers to bring you a grand total of 14 different Summertime ideas to make, bake, craft and create!

This is so darn cute, Shannon, and it definitely reminds me of Hawaii ~ ahhhh to be on the beach would be so nice. Such a fun wreath. Perhaps you could nail it to the door so it doesn’t fly away.
Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage says
We have such a wee, little overhang Mary Beth. I’ve got to get a new wreath, like a weather proof one. Mine that is up there now, well it is pitiful, if you guys saw it you would spank me.

It’s adorable Shannon, what up with the wind, boo hoo 🙂 Well, if it makes you feel any better we have what is called June Gloom so we don’t get to see much of the sun although it is still in the 70’s. Ok maybe that didn’t make you feel better. So glad to be hosting the party with you.
XO

Ahh. the June Gloom. I know it well. Grew up in SoCal so I remember.
We had light wind today. It was so lovely!
Even planted out on the deck. It was about 65* – A real scorcher! lol
Jessica @ Mom 4 Real says
It may not work on your door, but it would sure work on mine 😉 I ADORE IT!!! Pinning!
Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage says
Who knows? I have been know to mail people wreaths they admire 😉

Too stinkin cute!!!! I love the colors!!! I’m a washi tape virgin too! Another thing I need to get on board with!! LOL!! Off to pin! 🙂
Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage says
It was pretty fun! I’m going to use more (Washi) for the Bridal Shower. Just not sure how yet? LOL!!!
Angelina-JoJo and Eloise says
So Adorable, Shannon!!! I don’t think a Wreath with flip flops would last in our house. We go through them so FAST, it’s not even funny!! Probably because, unlike Oregon it is SUMMER practically ALL year long here in SoCal!! 🙂
Oh and your not the only one who is ALWAYS behind.. I still haven’t joined the world of Silhouettes and Cricuts.. I am seriously lagging 😉

Thanks so much! I bet. I wear my fair share here. Even in the rain if it’s not cold. lol. You know, like Spring rain showers. Anyhow. I hear you on the crafty stuff and gadgets. I always seem to be so late to the party on that stuff! But, that is okay. I make due. And when I do get something, I enjoy it extra lots! :)))
Vanessa says
LOL about summer starting in August in Oregon! Sad but true! But when it finally decides to be summer it sure is beautiful, right?? I think your wreath is just so darling and will definitely help give you that summer feeling even when it’s the wind you’re hearing instead of the waves! 🙂

Love it, Shannon! Your wreath is too stinkin’ cute .. and fun … and creative! The coastal vignette you created around it is fabulous … love the coastal blue! And, oops, I’m a washi tape virgin, too! Might have to do something about that!
Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage says
Maybe we need to do a WASHI blog hop? Oh. I had an idea. Watch out!!!!
debbiedoos says
Darling, just darling! The washi tape was neat to add too. I am a washi tape virgin too. I should not even get started, you never know what will wind up with tape all over it.
Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage says
Oh Debbie! You would love it. It’s right up our alley. I’m going to do some cans with it next I think. You know we can’t get enough of our cans 😉 hahaha
