So… I’m just curious?
Do you buy craft supplies that catch your eye
and get inspiration later?
or
Do you shop with a plan and a purpose?
I am most definitely a “winger”!!
I went to JOANN‘s today,
wandered around
and bought some fabric.
What for?
I have no idea.
Maybe for some…
Pillows?
Curtains?
Making fabric flowers?
I just thought it was pretty and brought it home.
Where I will look at it.
And hope it whispers to me.
I have a hard time planning crafts.
Never really seems to work out for me!
For instance…
I was undecided if I should make
a Summer Wreath
or
a Patriotic Wreath?
So, I asked on facebook.
I got a resounding SUMMER.
What did I make when I sat down?
If you *guessed…
“a Patriotic Wreath.”
Good for you!
*Sorry, no prize today.
Now, it wasn’t on purpose!
{even though… yes, I am a stinker}
I tried for Summer, but it just wasn’t falling into place.
What are ya gonna do?
I just don’t follow direction well!
Thank the lord I am out of school…
PS- The tutorial for the wreath is coming.

I avoid fabric stores at all costs… well, I try! Pretty, pretty fabrics…sigh.

I totally wing it! I live 45 minutes from the nearest craft store, so I buy whatever catches my eye and then I end up with a hoard of supplies that I have to makeover my entire craft room for so that I have somewhere to put them all! And then I buy more! 😉

Winger here 🙂 It’s like going to Target for toilet paper and coming out with a new dining room. I go to Joann’s for ONE piece of vinyl for a clutch, and I come home with random fabric that I find that I may use, someday. Someday is the key word here apparently. My attic is full of “someday”.
I don’t think I’ve introduced myself, but I’m a fairly new follower, and loving the blog!

I usually have a general idea of what I want to make. Then I go off to get the supplies, see other things, and change everything at that point. I’m not sure what to call myself. A distracted planner???

What are you talking about? Patriotic July 4th wreath is totally summer!
I try to plan my crafts ahead, but then I usually change mid-stream, or mid-craft as the case may be:)

love this post;) I’m a little of both. Sometimes I go in for something specific…and walk out with that and some other extra stuff I have no idea what I’ll do with;) Guess this is why my craft desk is so out. of. control!! hehehe…

For me it depends on the day and my mood. Sometimes I’ll take a trip to the store for specific supplies, other times I’ll just poke around the house and use what I have on hand. Some of my favorite things have been made that way, so you can’t knock it I guess!

I’m both, I wish I’d be more of a planner. I have way too many good intentions waiting in the cabinet 😉

I sort of do both. I try VERY hard not to just buy awesome crafting materials when they catch my eye, cuz I’d be broke in about two days! But sometimes I just can’t pass it up (like the other day I bought a bunch of rolls of washi tape at Target though I don’t have plans for them yet).
Mostly I’m a planner, so I have an idea and then go get supplies for it.

Hi Shannon! Oh, I love your wreath and you made it from a pool noodle! You’re so smart!
Well, to answer your question, I think I’m a little of both. I plan sometimes, but then don’t do it. Sometimes I wake up and just start something that pops up in my head or from Pinterest! 🙂
be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉

So cute! Love it! I should probably just wing it and buy things I like when I see but I think to myself I have no idea what I would do with it so I leave it. Then a couple days later I think about what I could do with it and curse myself for leaving it! LOL
