It’s gorgeous out today.
Sunny beyond belief.
Bright and full of promise.
Just reflecting a bit… no makeovers or crafts to share today.
I spent the morning visiting blogging friends and catching up on facebook a little bit. I found out a friends son is very ill and in ICU. Please send good thoughts their way, and prayers if you are so inclined. Austin had Scarlet Fever once and I know I was terrified for him so my heart is going out to her.
At Fox Hollow this morning, I’ve got laundry going and a messy living room. My living room is in disarray as I try to put a Spring mantle together for an upcoming party. I am completely undecided on what I’d like to do. I think I am over stimulated. To many pretty mantels out there already are making it difficult for me to find my own voice.
I’m also torn between playing outside in the sun, or
buckling down and getting my projects done and wrapped up!
Hmm… that is one too many choices.
I had a horrible headache yesterday which made it difficult to focus. The headache was on top of several nights of not sleeping well. (thank you hot flashes) I think I’m a little loopy!! I’ve sort of been going through menopause since I got cancer at 29. After my radical hysterectomy, I went into what they call medically induced menopause. It’s been fun. Wee 😉 Most times, it’s controlled with hormone replacements, but I’ve been trying to tapper off them now that I’m 44.
I can’t take them forever!
Any of you ladies in the same boat know how fun it is to wake up 947 times a night. Covers on. Covers off. I sleep with the window open when I can… but that is not often enough with the rain we get the majority of the time here in the Pacific Northwest. So. I don’t sleep well. Unfortunately, that starts to catch up with you after awhile and you find you’re running on empty. Napping doesn’t help. You never really catch-up on lost sleep, and I tend to get turned around, staying up too late if I nap during the day anyway. Age old problem I suppose, the whole “menopause thing”. At least these days… we know we aren’t crazy right? 🙂 If you have any super tips for dealing with menopause, lay them on me!
Well, if I end up accomplishing anything today…
you’ll know about it soon because I’ll share it here.
I tend to ramble… this would be why I don’t normally get
real “talky” in my posts. Thanks for listening.
Have a wonderful day!!
Appearance in full on any site other then Fox Hollow Cottage is theft!

Hi, well without promoting any one product, progesterone cream was a lifesaver for me. I had surgery and was thrown directly into menopause, my body was NOT READY at 42. Did lots of research on natural therapies and the progesterone worked the best, helped with headaches, mood swings, and the best for hot flashes. Another thing, sugar makes them much worse. Hope this helps! Sandy
