A Super Sneaky Shower Makeover?

Yep, you read it right.

Some of you know that my mother in law lives in the other house on our property. And if you didn’t, now you do! 

When I got the word that Command brand was premiering a new line of of bath and shower products, I knew just where I needed to stick em’ and how I wanted to use them!

When we put the new bathroom in at the little house, we installed a large shower with double sliding doors and little “seats” at each end so she could comfortably and safely sit to shave her legs.. scrub her tootsies and so forth. The problem? You end up putting your shampoos and whatnots on the seat, and you guessed it.. no room for the rump 😉

So one day while she was at work I did a stealthy little shower makeover!

The before isn’t bad, the shower still looks like brand new, the soft green wall color was picked by my MIL, the vinyl floor is nice and neutral,  it’s just sort of  “meh”. 

Which is odd. Since the MIL loves color. Especially yellow.

… and who am I too disappoint?

Not only did I find the most vibrant YELLOW rug ever. I found a fun candy colored stripped one as well.

And they are so soft. It’s like stepping on marshmallows. Mmm.

The candy stripped qt made is easy to bring in colorful accessories like towels and body poofs in zingy colors too.

I think this multi-hook is my favorite new addition to the line.

Grandma often holds sleepovers and hosts out of town guests so this hook will get a lot of use.

She is lucky I really love her, because I sort of wanted this for myself. 

While there is seating, there is no built-in soap holder, so the next product was a real must.

Command products are so simple to use and I love that you can move/remove them easily, with no damage!

You know.. for when you put them in the wrong place or change your mind.

Not that I did that (cough cough) 

Just read the package backs for directions and you can’t go wrong.

After putting it in the correct spot, I found they held two bars of soap. No problem.

With drainage too, so your soap doesn’t turn to a bar of goo.

No one likes that!

The shower caddy keeps shower gels, shampoos and such handy, without compromising the seating. 

I know, there are towels on the seat. 

Butt.. I didn’t think the alternative would be PC.

I’m guilty of a teeny bit of staging there. 

The fog resistant mirror and razor (or toothbrush!) holder and a towel hook make in-shower shaving (err.. tooth brushing) a breeze! 

Do you brush in the shower? I never did but I picked up this habit from her. I like it. I brush while my conditioner is in.

To much information?

… sorry. 

I was very glad to be able to treat my mother in law to this bright and happy bathroom.

It’s just like her.

And now, it’s smart and hardworking.

Also.. just like HER!
