DIY Farm Table Build Plans and Makeover Ideas

Hi friends! I want to thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my new farm table. Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time, and this one just about jumped out and bit me. My wheels spun so quickly when I saw it, thinking that the present table would really be a perfect solution down at The Little Cottage and the new one could take it’s place. I’ll show you how it looks down there in a few months when I’ve got everything in place. Today, I wanted to share some other gorgeous farm tables I’ve gathered up for you! These are ideas for building your own farm table from scratch, to painting and refinishing one you’ve got or thrifted to give it that farm house feel we all seem to be crazy about. Especially when it comes to tables. The farm table holds a sweet spot in our hearts.

The leg placement and center are similar to mine on this gorgeous Z Gallerie inspired design. I love everything about this table and how the planks are laid out for the top.

Ashley from Cherished Bliss graciously shared this beautiful table design with us. It’s a trestle style and has a neat industrial elemnet with the pipe center! She’s got great plans laid out for you that’ll make building your own much easier.

If you like your farmhouse style on the sleeker, more modern side… you’ll love this tables lines and finish, plus you can make the benches too (yep, there is a tutorial for that) for a complete set. Lots more savings that way.

I couldn’t share about building without sharing Shanty 2 Chic. This farm table is just one of so many amazing build plans they share. If you are DIY’centric, you’ll want to give them a look, if you haven’t already.

This makeover is really exciting because this table style is very plentiful. (you’ll probably recognize it in the before photos) Now, it looks anything but common with the gorgeous upgrade it got. The finish for the top is covered in the tutorial. It’s dreamy and looks perfectly old world aged. I love it!!

If you like a little ‘french’ with your farmhouse, you’ll adore this gorgeous set! It looks doubly stunning on that amazing brick floor. The details throughout this house are incredible. In fact, I think we need to court her for a home tour. hehe

Now, if you are really, extra lucky… you get to travel to France and buy a real live antique farm table, like Kim from Savvy Southern Style did. It’s so pretty, I can see why she feel for it. I still recall her anticipation waiting for it to arrive to her home. I bet this one could really tell some stories! I had to add it because the vintage style is so pretty.
