Everything’s Coming Up Roses
Like most people, I love flowers.
The color, the visual texture of the petals.. how they smell.. how they make me feel.
The memories they evoke.
And the new ones they help create while layering them with rich detail.
I’ve always said if I ever strike it rich, I’ll have fresh flowers in every room!
Along with a personal trainer and a chef.
Yes, I would pay someone to make me exercise, and, to put a healthy, balanced meal right in front of me!
But before I get off topic…
(it doesn’t take much)
I splurged a little on some flowers.
Just a tiny little treat, at the market.
I picked up the sort they sell in bunches and arranged them myself.
I was lacking filler, so I went really casual and cut them short
Their little flower heads are just peeping out of the Vintage style French flower pail.
I frequently threaten Jim not to buy me roses.
They are so expensive at the flower shop, and so affordable at the market.
I’m happy to arrange them myself.. in fact, I very much enjoy it.
It’s very calming and soothing to cut and clip and fiddle with placement.
The coloring in the roses couldn’t have been a better fit for the sweet, vintage style French flower pail I just picked up either.
It was meant to be!
I wish I could tell you the fragrance of this candle.
The scent was on the little tag on the bag it came in.. and I tossed it.
Big mistake.
Because it is so wonderful!!
That, and the flowers resting on an old board I painted make a simple vignette all by themselves.
Playing with my camera capturing photos is quite enjoyable too.
I wish I had the time, I’d really like to take a photography class.
These Spring and Summer photos also hold me over as screensavers in the Winter!
Six days old and still looking pretty good.
- Those cut flower care tips really do work!
Bokeh.
It’s like glitter for pictures.
And we all know how I feel about glittah!
I hope you can treat yourself to some flowers!
I know I’d have cut flower garden if it weren’t for those pesky Deer 😉
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
Hugs!!

Well I think a personal trainer and chef in every room is a little excessive.

Yes it is!
And I know you could paint those flowers with ease!
Love flowers too! My ex used to get them for me all the time…..I miss that. They look beautiful in the pail…..cute candle…..and noticed the pillows in the background. All look wonderful! You are so talented!
Me too.
I finally got mine to stop buying the big arrangements. I’ll take this, more often 😉
