Five Minute Christmas Idea- Decorating With Ornaments
Tick-Tock.. Tick-Tock… it’s the Christmas Clock.
It’s getting down to the wire and Christmas is almost here!
Today I’m sharing another 5-Minute Christmas Tip
If you’ve been crazy busy this season and need a quick way to bring some holiday cheer into your home, this is a simple, easy way to get that “holiday look” in no time flat!
A simple way to give the illusion of a very decorated holiday house is to pop little bits of Christmas here & there.
An great way to do this is to make your everyday items pull double duty and work hard for you!
Serving pieces, silver trays, cake plates, punch bowls, crystal bowls… grab whatever you have on hand.
This Princess House crystal tiered stand was my grandmother’s and I’ll be using it as an example today. The silver tone finish has worn over the years… but I don’t mind! I still vaguely remember the party she threw when she got this. You would be a hostess for a Princess House party, sort of like Tupperware or Mary Kay, and get special gifts and such for throwing a party and inviting your friends.
After you select the piece you’d like to use, get yourself some “faux” snow and sprinkle it on the surface.
Next, add ornaments.
You can choose a select few, or pile them up!
I added a few loose jingle bells to mine.
The more shine the better 😉
So pull out your serving pieces, glassware, silver… or whatever!
Add a little snow, some ornaments.. and wa lah!
You’ve got yourself some holiday decor.
Cheap & Easy.

That looks so pretty, Shannon! I love using ornaments in various containers, too. In fact, the Rosemary tree was put out of its misery a couple of days ago and I had to fill that tureen with something. I grabbed a few extra ornaments and some greenery and that did it.

Good Morning Shannon, This is a lovely idea. I usually use glass bowls filled with pretty Christmas ornaments, but I love the idea of using a tiered cake stand. Happy Christmas to you and your family. Best Wishes Daphne
