Fourth Of July Favorites
Helllllooooo. I miss you all!!
I couldn’t let one of our favorite holidays go by without checking-in to say hi! We usually do a huge Fourth of July bash at our place but this year, it’s been dialed down to Pizza & Fireworks. Since being with family is the most important part of the holiday, I’m letting the guilt go (about not putting on a big spread and going all out on decorating) and we are going to try to unwind a little and have some much needed FUN!
I will be using paper plates & plastic cups too.
And there will not be a photo-op in sight.
And I don’t care.
Between Austin’s graduation and now, we have been busy and/or working for what feels like every minute of the day. Doing things we love, for sure, but we need to take a breather and regroup. This girl needs a day off.
We are still working on our plans for our workshop, meeting with builder guys, gathering estimates and doing our due diligence to make sure we get the space we need within our budget and make the correct choices.
These are a few of the signs I made to replace some that sold. These sold the next day so I’m really glad I snapped a picture of them before I took them down! I love making the signs and I am so glad they are selling, so I can create new ones!!
I feel badly I’ve dropped off the face of the earth here on the blog, but I simply don’t have it in me to maintain it right now. I seriously do not know how some of the girls I follow that have fabulous blogs and booth spaces do it? I am in awe of you. I’m glad it’s Summertime and everyone is busy having fun. I hope I have not been too missed.
Me? I’ve been getting my booth space dolled-up and completing things to put in my booth, working and keeping up my home. If I let it get too messy, my eye will start twitching. lol!
My living room has been my respite.
I’m so glad I decorated before I got too wrapped up in other things. I love the festive red, white & blue and I’ve enjoyed it so much!! Summer decorating is one of my favorites. Our season is short lived and I revel in the long, sunny days!!
If only the Peonies could last forever…
But, I guess that is what makes them so special.
While I haven’t had a chance to work on much else here at the cottage this season, I’ve got some fun stuff from years past that you may have missed. I gathered up some of my favorites here for you… I hope you find something you like!!

PS: This is something fun we did last year! I added a cupcake liners and a tealights to a few mason jars, then topped them off with a bit of ruffled ribbon for some festive Fourth of July “patriotic” style luminaries. They were so cute and they were safe without the flame of a traditional candle. Okay, that is all. TTFN!!

I am a regular girl, with a blog.
We had a nice relaxed day and the phones were not constantly out.
Hope you had a nice day as well!!
