Gilded, Gold and Glam Organza Pumpkin Makeover
Hi guys!
So you know how I am always shop, shoppin’, shopping at ROSS?
Well. I did it again.
I got this cute, primitive style pumpkin.
He was only eight bucks too, and while there was nothing wrong with his coloring, I wanted something a little more… SOLID GOLD. (if you’re my age, you sang that) hehehe
To make him golden and gorgeous, I turned to the Maison Blanche Paint Company.
Here is how I did it:
- I coated him with Maison Blanche paint in Baguette to act as a base and cancel out the orange.
- Let dry.
- Then I started in layering him up with Organza Shimmer Coat!
- I layered on Gold, Antique Gold and a bit of Wrought Iron paint. (for depth)
And here his is! Ready for a hot date with a little pumpkin Qt.
The metallic shimmer is just magic!
The depth that the two shades of Organza added is just pure luxe.
You can’t see it as well in the pics but I just wanna lick him!
He is sparkletastcic.
Here he is a little closer!!
I’m really excited to do something new and I’m planning on doing a lot of metallic.
Gold, Mercury Glass, Silver… some Pewter. Fun-Fun!!
Maybe even some glitter too.
You know I like that sparkly stuff.
I’m so cheap.
Maybe I should get some gold lame leggings… ?
Do you think I’ll need the shoes too?
Thanks for stopping by!
Love the pumpkin! I also love Ross’s. Please don’t lick the pumpkin though, it would remind me of Miley Cyrus’s wrecking ball video.
OMG!!!! I could not even finish watching that sorry excuse for… well, I could go on and on… but I won’t. Go on. Or lick my pumpkin 😉
I am in love with these QT’s…this gold one just blows me away!
Lovely! I’m thinking glam pumpkins this year, too. 🙂
xo Heidi
Well if anyone could rock those leggings and shoes, it’s you girl!! “I just want to lick him”?? Bahahaha
Awesome project. Gotta love Ross and that fab paint!
Pinning! xoxo
Not sure what I love more. Those gold leggings or the Gold Jack O lantern! I am so digging the metallics these days. I am usually subdued in my Fall decor, but I went all blingy this year. LOVE that paint, gorgeous!
Love your pumpkin makeover. I just love how people are transforming pumpkins these days!
Thanks Patty! Painting is so easy and just as with walls, etc.. you get a big return in the changes it can make!
