Halloween Rice Krispy Ghost Dessert Treats
How to make the cutest not-too-spooky Halloween Rice Krispy Treat Ghosts!
I Am A Total… and I mean TOTAL Rice Krispy Treat junkie.
I love the things and pretty much can not have them around. I have taken to avoiding making them. LOL!
So, we had a family get together last Sunday and my sister brought… ?
You guessed it! Rice Krispy Treats.
But not just any RKT’s, she got all Halloween-y and brought Ghosts!
The minute I saw them I told her I was going to blog about them because I thought they were so stinking cute. Plus, they tasted like ambrosia. And she loves me so she said it was fine. {winks}
Family, they love you. Crazy and all.
So I got the scoop on how she did it and added the classic recipe below!
INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows
- — OR —
- 4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
DIRECTIONS
1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture onto a cookie sheet coated with cooking spray. You need your final mixture after pressing to be about 1 – 1.5 inches deep. You may have enough for 2 cookie sheets full.
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
