Poor Old Saint Nick Was Lucky I Found Him!
He was looking so sad and lonely… left on a table with a few stragglers.
Lying with a few bits of this & that.
One of the last items, thrown carelessly on his side, in a back room at an estate sale.
Everything had been picked over.
It was day two and I don’t know what was to become of the items that had yet to find a home.

I thought he certainly had a little
Ho~Ho~Ho
left in him and decided to bring him
ho~ho~home.
I shared all my great finds from that day here.
That sassy little Santa is now the star of the show.

I like to think the old owner would love the idea that he is still bringing Christmas joy!
…and yes, that is the double boiler I found a few months back he is standing in. I wanted to show you I really use all that stuff I pick up.
Like these little packs of sequins.
Something about the packaging
(okay… and the sparkle)
Appealed to me!

Ornies Piled Up Together is Nothing New…

…but it works!
So don’t mess with a classic.
Speaking of Classics…
To me
Candy Canes
say
“Christmas”
I sprinkled them all throughout the house.
~A plain-jane jar got a second life~
A bottle brush tree.
(from the Dollar Tree)
Some Splenda Sugar
And A Light Dusting of Vintage Mica Snow.
I decided to make all my jar decor temporary.
I did not flip them over and add my goodies to the lid and seal them. I want to have the option of using them for other ideas. This way, I can pop the snow/glitter/sugar in a baggie and use them for something else if I want to.
This will also save me from having to store even more glass items in my Christmas totes.
This cabinet has turned out to be the perfect place to pile all my pretties.
I am so glad we put it in the sun room.
It was sad & lonely downstairs as a linen cabinet.
(yes, it told me that)
That’s it for now…
Hope everyone is enjoying the season.
Wishing you all a Merry little Christmas!

Shannon, your Christmas cabinet is beautiful. I especially like the bottle brush tree – so simple, yet so elegant. Merry merry.

Make that styled the cabinet…it’s late and I didn’t proofread!
After reading this post, I’m going to go and pull out my Santa that’s just like him. I wasn’t using my vintage Ho’s this year, but he’s too cute and you’ve made me reconsider! ;o) Love how you style the cabinet. Everything is perfect! Makes me miss my former home’s sunroom! Like the aqua dishes, too. Merry Christmas!
Oh how I love that cabinet! How did you manage to arrange everything so prettily on the shelves? Whenever I try doing something like this, it ends up looking terrible. You have got the knack for it girl. I’m tellin’
