Hello. hello & Ho-Ho-Ho! I’m so happy to be sharing this super easy and ultra cheap holiday decorating idea with you today.
If you saw the craft catastrophe I shared yesterday, I hope this will make up for that!
I know it helped ease my pain.
On to good news! Today, I’ve got a fat, jolly Santa Claus printable Christmas banner that is sure to make you smile.
I love the round, chubby cheeked Saint Nicks the very best. The chunkier the better!!
The holidays are no time to be sick. If you noticed light postings here the last few weeks it’s because I was ill. No fun, but feeling much better now. I didn’t get to share all I wanted this holiday season, and it might be a little late for some of you.. but if you’re just getting started or you have a spot that needs a lil’ sumpthin, then hey.. “this ones for you!”
This craft actually began because of The Giant Marshmallow Mess of 2014.
After the marshmallow avalanche was cleared, and the tears were wiped away..
(and by tears I mean the curses I uttered under my breath that the marshmallows I painstakingly spent 3 hours stringing and hanging were now all stacked-up like bumper to bumper traffic at rush hour.)
Or they were trying to mate?
So yeah, after that, I was left with a glaring empty space above my JOY.
And that just would not do.
Enter the fat-jolly Santas!
I’d been saving a collection in a file and I knew they were just the thing to bring the “Happy” back in my Christmas.
So, I printed a few out and got to cutting.
- First up is Mr. Jingle Bell Santa.
Right Click, Save-As and Print.
Next, I made some virtual Candy Canes.
- I printed 2 sets on one sheet of card stock paper.
Right Click, Save-As, and Print.
I have this nifty grommet set from Memory Makers left over from my scrap booking days. I punched the holes, and added red and silver grommets… because I could. A hole punch would work fine too, or any method to make a tiny hole for the ornament hangers.
I’m sure you noticed the silver sequins right?
I.
Love.
Them.
To use, simply put a tiny drop of glue at the end to prevent unraveling and it’s good to go! So fun and sparkly. I used it on my bridal shower banner I made, and this was left over. I could not dig it any more!! Mine is from the notions department at my local fabric store and it’s cut to order. I’m sure you can find it about anywhere.
- Okay… so next is this cheeky fellow.
Right Click, Save-As, and Print.
He turned into this…
After a bit of red card stock, adding a little fuzzy yarn to fluff up his mustache, and a Holly embellishment.
Note: If you don’t have the makings for Holly or want to mess with cutting a leaf from scrapbook paper, you can add a jingle bell or whatever strikes you! I’m sure it would be just as cute.
You can see below how I mirrored the left and right sides, with the Santa cut-outs and Candy Canes…
The middle is where things get tricky.
- I used the “merry little Christmas” buggy from Craftberry Bush that I downloaded when it was free, which I’m not at liberty to pass on.
- The good news is, I’ll add a few extra Santa faces you might like for your middle here:
Just a little something I thought you might enjoy.
Who knows? You might have and empty space this would be perfect for!
Thanks to my melting mess of a marshmallow snow craft… I know I did.
… at least it was cute for a day.
Almost.
Merry, merry Christmastime to you!!
Pin this tail of woe and save poor, innocent marshmallows from a similar fate…

I do like it. The fat Santas are so Jolly!! Thanks doll. I guess we wouldn’t appreciate the good ones as much if we didn’t get a blopper now and then right?
