Make it: A Picture Frame Clock Craft
Hi again everyone! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back again with another project!
Today I’m sharing a very easy and quick project that looks great. This DIY Picture Frame Clock is the prefect project to add character and it’s so easy to customize! I just love how it turned out…
To make it, I started with a 5″ x 7″ frame and a clock kit from the craft store…
After I removed the glass, I pulled off the picture frame backing and cut a piece of wood to fit the 5″ x 7″ opening of the frame…
Because the clock parts were made for a 3/4″ thick surface, that’s what we used…
We drilled a hole in the middle of the wood…
Then I cut a piece of scrap book paper to the size of the frame and notched a hole in the center…
I used a few pieces of tape to hold it in place, then started assembling the clock parts from the directions on the package…
Once all the parts were tight, I pushed the wood piece into the frame…
Once I added the battery, it was ready to go!
For now, I really like that it doesn’t have numbers to keep track of time…
But if I ever wanted to add numbers, I have the option. I can also change the paper or fabric when the mood strikes. It’s very versatile! And it looks great… those are my favorite types of projects!
