Have You Heard?
There is a brand new paint collection from everyone’s favorite HGTV star, the super-talented Joanna Gaines. It’s called Magnolia Home.
Magnolia Home is available in a Premium Interior Paint and a Cabinetry & Furniture Paint. The addition of a paint line to the Magnolia Market makes perfect sense, and Joanna partnered with the popular KILZ brand paint company to bring her collection to market.
This is what Joanna had to say about her new paint project:
“Working with the KILZ® Brand to develop my own paint collection was an amazing opportunity because paint is the easiest and most dramatic way to transform a space. “I’m often asked for advice on selecting paint colors and I want to make that process simpler—that’s why I chose 25 classic and effortless colors to launch the new paint line with. I hope these colors come to mean as much to others in their own homes as they do to me.”
I thought you might be interested in taking a peek at the colors she’ll be offering so here they are!
All 25 paint shades will be offered in a Matte (which can be amazing!), Eggshell or Satin finish. The Cabinetry & Furniture paint colors will be limited to True White or Shiplap. It looks like the Cabinetry & Furniture paint will come in a semi-gloss sheen. I love the almost “ticking stripe” design of the paint labels in the black on white, and white on black. So classic!
A few of the shades that caught my eye were:
RAINY DAYS (which is kind of ironic, living in Oregon)
GATHERINGS
and WEDDING BAND
and of course… there is a “SHIPLAP” shade
As of now, it’s only available at the brick & mortar Magnolia Market or at the MAGNOLIA MARKET website, where you can learn more, and explore all the great paint color names!
I did find information on the KILZ website, that Magnolia Market furniture retailers will have the option to carry it as well. I sure wish it was available at big box retailers, I’d love to try it. I’ve been a KILZ users for… forever and some of Joanna’s shades are really intriguing. I don’t see me ordering paint through the mail though. I do appreciate that they are probably trying to exercise some quality/brand control, and perhaps not suffer too much from growing pains.
That’s it! Just popped in for a quick “did ya know” because I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it with you.
We have been busy getting our property whipped back into shape after a long, wet, winter & spring. It sure takes some work, and there is more to do! The boys have been busy installing electrical in the new workshop. I hope to be back this week with a workshop update for you. Plus, we’ve been busy with the same old stuff I’m sure you all do… like working, washing cars, running errands… and everybody’s favorite, that never ending task of doing laundry.
Hope you are all doing well. xo Shannon
