How did you all spend the
BIG Shoppingpalooza Weekend?
I know, it’s still technically Cyber Monday,
so you may not even be done yet!
We were very well behaved and did not detour from our budget. Little(and big) eyes read my blog, so I can’t comment on any fabulous gifts we have stored away.
Darn.
… because I would love to brag about
a particularly good deal we got!!
Mr Fox has asked me on several occasions, (this has been going on for the last several years) what I want for Christmas.
I don’t.
Want for anything that is.
And I refuse to make something up, just because it’s Christmas.
But, there are Big Happenings going on here at the Hollow
… Every Girls Dream
We Are Getting
Another
New…
Another
New…
A P P L I A N C E
{insert big hearty laugh}
Sheer Excitement. I Know. We completely skipped
Black Friday.
Black Friday.
Gasp.
We stayed home and did not do any stimulating of the economic kind.
(actually, not too hard since we were both sick)
However, we ventured out Saturday and did get the aforementioned “particularly” fabulous deal
and…
THIS
Well, “half” of THIS anyway.
We bought it’s mate, the new washer, out of necessity about 2 months ago.
I held off on buying the matching dryer at the time though, thinking we didn’t really “need” it.
I was glad I made that choice too, when 6 weeks later, our (should have lasted a lot longer) refrigerator went belly up and had to be replaced.
–OUCH-
Two major appliances.
In two months.
That stung…
(when you aren’t dreaming of new ones)
Well, Mr Fox noticed, while reading all the Black Friday (had to make sure we weren’t missing the deal of the century!) adds, that Sears had the matching dryer on sale Saturday for a fantastic price.
We decided it would be a good idea to get the dryer now, so the set would be of similar age.
Plus, the new washer is so huge, the older dryer can not keep up with the load sizes it can handle. So today, my washer will be reunited with it’s mate.
(I’ll make sure to give them some alone time)
If it is anywhere near as wonderful as the new washer, I am sure to love it!
As much as I hate to spend money on this sort of thing. After all, it’s an appliance…
not a
NEW CAR
(admitted car whore here)
I really do love the new washer.
For one… it works. LOL.
It’s efficient, has a hugenormous tub, versatile options and a sweet little chime that makes me happy to turn it on.
Seriously.
It’s like a little bird chirping good morning to me 😉

Anyhow… that was my big, exciting weekend.
It’s all diamonds & champagne over here.
Hope you are all well feed, well rested and ready to tackle the week.

I am over here dying laughing! How did I miss this post??!!! You are just like my kids, when we first got our front loaders!! They actually took chairs into the laundry room, to watch the clothes go back and forth! LOL!

Heck…I do not need diamonds…this is what I need too! I am a little jealous. I did not think I would get so excited about seeing a pretty washer and dryer on a blog…but I am! So glad they are reunited for the holidays!
