Outdoor Christmas Decorating + NEW Deck And Pergola Peek
Hey there sweet Foxes!! I’m happy to be here sharing a little peek at the new deck and pergola with you. The guys finished a bit ago, but it was far too late in the season for a proper reveal. You know I want to get it all decorated, and have it full of flowers for you!! Until then, Jimmy and I added a little Christmas cheer and had a fire, and you’re invited!!
In all my daily trips running up and down the stairs, okay, so I don’t actually run… but I do haul it up and down the stairs many times a day. And when I do, I often peek out at the new pergola. And center stage are our egg chairs.
Well my wheels started turning, and even though our pergola is open, and I live in the PNW… I thought, gee I bet my new garlands would look SO cute on those egg chairs. And boy do they!!
I normally try to keep things on the realistic side here, but if you can’t go a little over the top at Christmastime, when can you?
While admittedly, I couldn’t leave any of this outside… it was fun to create a fireside Christmas snuggle spot and stretch my styling muscles. So thank you for indulging me!
The garlands and urn fillers both came came pre-lit making it very quick to just pop the urn fillers in my urns, and lay the garlands across the top of the egg chairs. It actually took my longer to try to get that red lantern to sit level on the tree stump! Okay, it took me longer to get that lamp level. Because in some ways… I am sooooo type A. I was going to get that darn lamp level, and that was that. hahaha
After I snapped these picture to share with you, Jim and I got comfy and stayed out chatting until the fire died down. We love to sit outside without any distractions and catch up.
There is just something about being outside, and a fire only makes it better. Yet even with the yummy blankets, and that extra thick red plaid cutie, the chilly air (and our missed dinner time) eventually drove us inside.
I hope you are stealing some magic Christmas moments for yourself! Whatever that looks like for you.
Merry Christmastime, Shannon

Thank you GINA 🙂
You outdid yourself again. I love everything. The egg chairs look so good with the greenery. I could see myself sitting out there with some hot cocoa enjoying the evening.
Betty they are the most comfortable outdoor furniture!
I just love them 🙂
MERRY CHRISTMAS sweet lady!!
Shannon, it is gorgeous and so comfy cozy! Merry Christmastime to you and yours.
We very much enjoyed it, and look forward to lots of time spent out here 🙂
Happy Christmas to YOU!
Love it Foxy. Bet you and hubby loved it sitting outside
Love this !
Thank you Patricia 🙂
Oh! I love this!!!!! You have done it again, girl!
If only we could leave it up 😉
Thunder storms this weekend.
But it was great that night, and everything is right on hand to pop up again!!
ADORABLE!!!
haha – THANK YOU
It’s adorable and cozy and all yours. That”s what counts! I love my outdoor covered patio outdoor living room. Despite the temps below freezing my two best friends, all of us close to eighty, are having a wintery brunch outdoors this next week. I am warming up the blankets and we will distance ourselves but it has been nearly a year since we have been able to really socialize so wanted to end this weird year right!
I have everything decorated as well.
Oh Marie that sounds so charming, you ladies have a wonderful time.
Wishing you a blessed and Merry Christmas 🙂
Cheers to a better New Year!
What a special spot! I’ve always loved pergolas and your egg chairs are just perfect! The Christmas decor make it look so cozy and comfy. Just the right touch! Wish I was there! lol
We just love being able to hang lights up out here from it! Thank you!
We were originally replacing the rotted deck, and the pergola was a happy addition.
This is the absolute prettiest Christmas decor I have seen this year! You nailed it with the egg chairs and Christmas lights and garlands. I have to ask, Are the chairs comfortable? I am sure you will enjoy this new deck and pergola for many years!
Lynne I love them!! I sink back and really curl up. And if you want to sit up, pop a foot stool in front of you because you can really sit way back in them. The cushions are soft but supportive.
I originally bought one, and when they went on sale I threw budget to the wind and bought a second. I wanted my friends who stopped by to have a nice chair too.
It’s truly one of my favorite purchases. I’d love your feedback if you get one 🙂
