I’m not a “fashion” blogger.

But I am a girl. I wear clothes… and I go shopping, sometimes.

So I figured what the heck.

Plus, I thought I would be fun to show you the new stuff I scored!!

I didn’t mean to browse, but the boys were buying shirts and boring boy clothes.. so I wandered.

All clearance was an extra 25% off so I started there. You know, since I didn’t “need” anything.

Which is how I get most of my clothes. Because when I do need something, I can rarely find a thing I like. I am sure you can relate!

It is what it is though. My boobs need plus size tops, even when the lower half doesn’t. Just keeping it real. {winks}

I never understand why girls get those giant breast implants? Sorry, getting off topic…

Back to clearance shopping.

I’ll buy off season, for the right price. This sweater was marked down to $7.99 before the additional discounts.

Super easy to dress up or down. Everyday with jeans or pair it with dress pants, a skirt… maybe some flash accessories?

Liz Claiborne Silver Metallic Stripe Sweater

I love banded bottom tops.

They work really well for me with my bust because instead of hanging out straight, far from my body where my bust pops out, the banded bottom tailors the fit a little by pulling back in and showing a waist.

And I’m not a big pink clothes girl, but pink looks pretty good on my fair skin.

So I got this cute pink, white and grey banded bottom one too.

The pink sweater is a really light, fine gauge weave and perfect for layering. Very bright and fun!

Spot on match of the pinks too. So it came home with me as well.

Between the markdown clearance prices, the extra 25% off clearance and an additional 20% off if you used your Penny’s charge (this is when we take advantage of using charge cards) nothing I bought averaged over $10. I call that a dang good deal. One sweater started out at $46 originally. I love being frugal.

Buying things that mix & match with what I already own helps build my wardrobe. When I happen across good deals I indulge, it saves money in the long run because it saves trying to replace things out of necessity and having to buy, when the prices might not be as low.

I wanted to add that we are very careful of using charge cards and do not make them a habit. When we do use them to get better prices at check out, we pay them off in full when the bill arrives or make a cash payment right there at the register! We very, very much live within our means. Jim and I are big savers and planners.

.. not to say I never had a “charge it” mentality in my youth. {BIG winks}

    Great finds, Shannon! I love shopping at JCP for the prices, too! They have the best discounts and coupons. I don’t have a boob problem but I do have a waist problem that affects my sizes. I don’t like showing my pop belly and the spare tire or muffin top and the flab or rolls in my back. So I end up getting two sizes bigger just to cover my flaws.

      I know! Such a hurdle. I am a chicken to get a breast reduction.. even though I know I should! Made the mistake of watching one on TV once. Plus after my surgeries.. I’m not feeling the whole “elective” surgery thing.
