Sharing some super cute Better Homes & Gardens goodies today! Get ready to put them in your gift giving arsenal for an easy, stress-free holiday gift giving season! From simple candles and cozy throws to a loaded up dough bowl dupe with holiday fragrance favorites… come on, I can’t wait to show you.
I hit up my local Walmart for my latest assignment with Better Homes & Gardens — to put together some great holiday gift ideas. Well you know me, I like simple. Cute, but simple. So I gathered up some truly easy ideas you can whip up in a jingle. Just add clear cello, a bow, and your good to go! I left those off so you can SEE what I’m suggesting without trying to squint and fighting the glare. I thought you’d appreciate that!
New here? Hello there, I’m Shannon, and I each month I partner with Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart sharing my personal selections, and spotlighting the vast line of furnishings and home decor available in-store and online with all of you! It’s always a favorite post, and we all appreciate the great quality and the affordable prices!

TWO-IN-ONE FLORAL ARRANGEMENT
My first idea is a personal fave, because it’s a two-for-one. You can take a hostess or friend a festive holiday bouquet arranged in this seasons gorgeous brass and seeded glass hurricane! Don’t worry. I tested it to make sure it’s 100% water tight. I got you!

I love this ideas because it says “Christmas” now, but it’s a gift that can be enjoyed for years to come, long after the flowers fade.
TIP: The flowers were a market bouquet and very reasonable. Under $15.oo – I just added some fresh Cedar to fluff it up a bit.
-
FESTIVE RED WINE GLASSES
Why just show up with wine? When you can pair a bottle with a couple of these sparkling beauties! They red is so deep and vibrant and the clear stems really show that off. Pop the wine in a bag — a gift bottle bag, fabric or even faux fur. I left it un-bagged for the photos because it’s such a pretty label. The elegant bow makes it look like a gift.
TIP: If you don’t know anything about wine (that would be me). Opt for 4-6 wine glasses and pop them in a gift basket with some colorful shred.
-
Holiday Bowl “Basket”
Better Homes & Gardens has some seriously beautiful wood pieces in the holiday collection this year and I couldn’t resist turning one into a gift!
I simply added a small faux cedar wreath…
then paired it with a yummy, holiday edition candle and a bow.
These ideas are all about simple & affordable, while still being pretty & happily received!
TIP: You could also fill the bowl with kitchen goods like muffin mixes, special spices, cute dish towels, etc… to suit the recipient.
-
YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH CANDLES
I don’t know a soul who doesn’t enjoy lighting candles for the fragrance and the cozy factor! A simple and affordable option to have on hand as an “I was thinking of you” little something, perfect with a pretty Christmas card! The boxes on these are particularly pretty and make them practically already wrapped.
-
WAX WARMERS & MELTS
When open flames aren’t an option, Wax Warmers are always welcome. There were so many cute versions this year. I’m a total sucker for these, and I had to grab the galvanized metal house. Perfect for the “farmhouse” lover on your list!
There are so many sniffarific smells to choose from! And they make great stocking-stuffers too.
Make sure to grab your favorite holiday editions while to can!
TIP: look for the XL value packs in select scents.

HERITAGE COLLECTION PIE PLATE
The Heritage Collection is added on to each holiday season, with new & coordinating pieces. I love that you can build your collection slowly over time, and there are always a cute new pieces and imagery to look forward to!
My mom and I happened to be at Walmart together and we were looking around getting ideas, when we saw this snowman pie plate! I thought it was darling. Just darling! But I told my mom… I’m not baking a pie though?
But wait… I can BUY a pie. Any recipient would be much happier, trust me. Pie crust and I, we don’t get along.
So I washed up the pie plate and put the pie in, and… I didn’t like the metal showing. So I got an idea…
[twenty20 img1=”22822″ img2=”22824″ offset=”0.5″]
What if… I placed a napkin on top of the pie, flipped it into the lid, removed the metal pie plate, replaced it with the pretty snowman pie plate, and then flipped it back over!!
What’s the worst that could happen?
Well, it worked! Look at that flirty pie plate edge.
I’d like to pretend I baked it… but we all know I didn’t! But tell me, who else loves a fluted edge? They feel so fanciful.
TIP: If you aren’t a snowman fan, there was also a completely darling Christmas tree pie plate, with a tiny bunny.

BONUS – DOUGH BOWL GIFT BASKET
Okay, now this one is a bit more spendy, because the wood bowl was $30 – It’s a pretty substantial size though, and I really wanted to share the beauty of this wood piece, so I went against type. (Frugal, that’s my type.) You could easily opt for a less expensive vessel to complete this gift idea.
-
Wood Dough Bowl
-
Dish Towel(s) – I bought red checked but could not find them!
-
Christmas Cookie Filled Plaid Tin
-
Christmas Tree Farm Wax Warmer – unboxed
-
Holiday Edition Candle
-
Wax Melts – 2.5 & 5. ounce packs
-
Greenery – real or faux, bow, ornament filler.
There were two more ideas I wanted to share, but it was so dark and rainy… I lost my light! The throws this holiday are better than ever — we even got a few faux fur varieties! They are gorgeous and under $15 as well. Check your local store. I’ll link to them below as well for the ease of online shopping.
Well my friends, I hope those helped you out with an idea or two for your gift giving needs this season! I love that we can find pretty, affordable gift options at our local Walmarts! Many of the seasonal items are in-store only, so make sure to check your store for some of the finds that I couldn’t get online links for. And if you find those little wood trees I was hankering for, consider yourself lucky! Mine didn’t get them. I was so sad. Because we all know I really “needed” another tree. hehe.
Wishing you ALL a most Merry & Bright Christmastime. xo Shannon
