Spring at the Cottage – Decorating with Vintage Easter Bunnies
It’s Springtime.
And that means it’s time to get my bunnies out!
Welcome to…
You know how I changed the chalk stenciled design on my open cabinets in the kitchen a little bit ago? Well I did! I got silly and had some fun. You can find the before and after painted gold metallic polka dots here. I’ve been looking forward to decorating them for Spring too. We have had so many projects going on, I haven’t had much time to “fluff decorate” or craft. You know… the fun, relaxing, just because stuff.
It’s so great opening up my totes (that I can now easily find in my newly organized home decor storage room!) and seeing my cute bunnies again.
And some new friends too!
I don’t think I will ever outgrow sparkly things.
Ever.
Just don’t see it happening.
So anyhow, I made goo-goo eyes at my bunnies.
Okay, not really, but they do woo me a little with all that GLITTER!
I began decorating and everything was going well…
Until.
I found I had a giant empty space at the top of my cabinets.
What to do?
Enter Command Hooks!
Remember the Vintage Paper Bunny Banner I shared earlier in the week?
I knew it needed a more festive home when I made it, and with the tiny, clear, Command Decorator Clips I thought they might be just the fix. Sort of a two’fer.
Fill the empty space.
Find my bunnies a better home.
To use the Decorator Clips, follow the directions on the package back.
Command Brand Hooks are simple to use and they make decorating easy because now, I can put almost anything I want, anywhere I want with the right hook for the job! The clear ones are so cool. They are practically invisible!!
See! You never would have known there was a hook holding up my wreath. It’s like magic. I have a wreath floating on my cabinet back.
Oh…. the possibilities.
With the wreath on the left, I added the white frame to balance things out on the right side and called it done! Now I can enjoy my bunnies, new and old right in the hub of the house, with no big, blank, empty spot.
One of my all-time favorite HomeGoods finds… this vintage style Easter sign. It has a ribbon too for hanging. I’ve been really lucking-out there, stumbling across the “vintage” style signage. I love that stuff!!
I hope you enjoyed this months post featuring Command Brand hooks. It’s my second project as a part of the Command Brand team, where I join Toni from A Bowl Full of Lemons and Laura from Finding Home as the 2014 Command Brand Bloggers. That means I get to try and share lots of the Command line with you and I make a couple of bucks for my time. It’s important to me that I share real-life uses that we find for them in our home, and ideas for decorating with them that you might like. While I am compensated, please know that I only share things I think are of value, well made and useful! I will continue to use these products long after I am an ambassador for the company.
I don’t know how the heck I decorated all these years… and never utilized their fabulousness!?
Old Dog. New Trick. Cool!

Adorable collection Shannon but I think that rocking horse bunny needs to hop/rock on over to my house! 😉

Everything looks perfect, Shannon ~ love the sparkle and the banner ~ great idea for hanging it. I need to get some hooks. I hate putting holes in walls, etc., so this is a great option.

G-
There was a sad, sad lady at the store. She left it, and walked around continuing shopping.
Big mistake! lol.
I saw him, curled my fingers around him and never let him go.
I would share though with you.
