Spring Living Room Refresh
I love how with each new season, I feel re-energized to make changes to my home to welcome them and bring them inside with us. This little Spring living room refresh started with some sunshine, and pillows.
You know all about me and pillows…
I know. I need new ones like… well, we all know I don’t need them at all. Ha!
H e l l o SPRING!
I found these coral cuties for a song… and next thing I knew, I was fluffing up the living room and ushering in Spring!
We finally got a break from the wet-wet Spring weather, and enjoyed a few days of sunshine and it really encouraged me to lighten up inside and give the season a proper welcome!
We took the New Coffee Table [click here] down to the booth and until I get my custom made one, I decided to use the vintage steamer trunk as a coffee table. This week at least.
I’m pretty locked-in with where my sofa sits, so moving all the other things around works to help make things feel just new enough. I flipped my vintage door over to this corner and swapped out side tables.
I say “flipped” like it was easy…
Boy is that thing heavy! They really used to make things to last back then. I love all the age and imperfections in the mirror. It was love at first sight on that one. Took me awhile to make it mine because I didn’t think I had anywhere to put it.
I just couldn’t stop thinking about it though and one day I realized I could just lean it!
It might go down to The Little Cottage when I get to decorate down there… with the vaulted ceilings, I think it would look really, really good!
This Target bar cart was a steal on clearance and Iv’e used it all over the house! The wheels make it easy to move and it’s just super-versatile. It’s been a impromptu guest room helper [click here] – a night stand, a side table, etc…
Keeping it light and airy for now. The plants and fresh flowers feel really good. As I type, the windows are open and a nice warm breeze is blowing in. It’s so lovely having the house open!
I know as Summer gets closer, I’ll be adding my aqua and coastal elements around the house. Living here on the coast, adding those goodies just feels right! There are usually a few sprinkled about… but I don’t do it full-on year round because I love too many styles to be locked into just one look.
When it comes to decorating…
I LOVE CHANGE
xo, Shannon

I love your living room! It’s so nice and fresh with the neutrals mixed with the pops of color. I was wondering, where is your sofa from? I’m really wanting a nice neutral piece like that and yours is perfect!
Morgan I would love to tell you about my sofa, I’m so sorry I don’t have any information on it though. There is not a single manufacturer tag on it and the company we bought it from went out of business years ago. You are not the first to ask, and I’m always sad when I can’t help out.
Your living room looks so very pretty and fresh Shannon! I love those coral pillows, they are perfect for Spring.
Hey Debbie! Thanks so much. You know me & pillows. hahahaha
They are fun, aren’t they?
Where did you get that sofa!??? Beaufuful!!!
Hi! We have had that for years, like 12-13. It’s from a now closed furniture store here on the coast in Oregon.
There are no manufacturer tags or information. I wish there was!! I would share in a minute. We get asked about it pretty frequently.
Wish I could be more helpful.
Love the trunk in front of the sofa:) I am so indecisive about style…I love it all! Oh well,I think that is a good thing~
Thanks so much. It was over by the windows last time I shared it, and by the tree at Christmas.
I’m the same here! That is why you see me do all the big stuff in neutrals, I like to be able to change on a whim.
I think it’s a good thing 🙂 Viva la change. haha
Those cushions are awesome, Shannon! I love the pop of colour they lend. OneandSeventy is still in the grips of Easter, until I find some time to switch things up a bit, but I’m looking forward to getting cracking! Also looking forward to opening a few windows; weather still rather more winter than summer here. Sue x
Thanks Sue! They were super cheap at Ross. Like 6 bucks! So I got them. I’d been looking for a pretty, soft coral since last year, but couldn’t find anything and these were close enough, especially for the price. haha. That made them perfect. Oh gosh, we’ve had, rain, rain, rain. It was a delight to have the windows open. I hope you get an open-window day soon 🙂
Such a beautiful room. I love the colors and I adore that precious little lamb.
Thanks Marty! I found that at a little vintage place and I just love it 🙂
Happy Spring! Hope you are having beautiful weather 🙂
