Style Showcase 101 | Pumpkins, Fall Decorating + Cozy Bedrooms
Hello sweet Foxes!! My goodness it’s the last Style Showcase of September already. I know we all say this too often, but the days just fly by faster and faster. Weren’t we all just eagerly awaiting Spring? Summer is gone, and boom. It’s Fall proper now. The stores have piles of pumpkins overflowing out front, and we are going to blink and it’ll be Halloween! But before that happens… let’s try to s l o w it down a little and savor the turning of the leaves, and the gentle shift into this next season. Please enjoy today’s Style Showcase, and if you try any of the Fall floral styling ideas, I sure would love to see them.
It was my pleasure to close out today’s post with our cozy bedroom. The fireplace we added has been such a pleasantly surprising feature. I didn’t know how much I was going to just adore it! In the deep chill of Winter, it feels like such a luxury, and makes me feel a little bit decadent when I use it. Not a common feeling for me. lol.
Wishing you all lots and lots of love & light!! xo Shan

I love love love a calm bedroom. Yours is so soothing and cozy! A while ago I wanted an accent wall in my bedroom. It’s 25 x 16’ so it’s a big space. Three walls are white, the furniture is a distressed gray. We live near the beach so we opted for a rich navy accent wall behind our seagrass headboard for a nautical vibe. I loved it at first but now I’m rethinking the space. I’d still like it to be an accent wall but maybe in a softer white or a light greige. Tastes change and it’s only paint right? And bedding…and pillows…and curtains. 😂
I’m sure it looks fantastic! Especially with the seagrass headboard. I know, our tastes do change.
The headboard sounds like a gorgeous classic. I’m sure a little paint change will make it feel new.
Your color choices sound really good for a soft, calm vibe. I can see you do something like sea salt too.
Almost all my bedding is white, cream, wheat… I love to just add in a bit of color with the smaller items.
I have some Ralph Lauren (discount store) 😉 white cable knit shams that have been with me a long time.
I still absolutely love them!
Can’t wait to see what you do? Maybe one more Winter of Navy. Spring would be a good time for a lighter, fresh look.
Wish I could come help!! xo Shan

Your bedroom is beautiful! Looks like a perfect place to sleep in on a cold & frosty morning ~ or anytime really!
My bed is my end of the day sanctuary 🙂
I love it so much!
The fireplace made it soooo snuggly to get in bed when it was chilly and get all nice and toasty.
I am kind of looking forward to that. Makes Winter and the gloom not so bad 😉
