Style Showcase 130 | Fresh Home Decorating + DIY Ideas
HELLO Foxes!! As we creep closer to my favorite time of year, it is such a joy to see all the plants & flowers around me unfurling & peeping up through the soil. I’m pleased to be kicking off this weeks Style Showcase with a favorite project, just in time for planting — I’m sharing how to give those orange terracotta pots a quick & easy makeover, resulting in a soft, timeworn looking neutral finish. Perfect for any décor style from European to farmhouse.

Our Easter was very quiet, Jim & I came down with a bug, and my poor Jimmy has even missed work. Which is so very rare for him! A bright spot was, that I noticed the first bloom had opened up on my biggest clematis (the one that keeps going into late Fall). I was so excited to see it! My potted flower garden gives me so much happiness. Right now, with the deck being used as a walk-through to reach the trailer for all the demo materials to go to the dump, I have not bought or planted a single new thing! Everything is pushed aside to create a path for the boys. Thankfully the Hydrangeas are not at that maximum size yet… otherwise, they take up the whole deck! They are getting so big. No more new hydrangeas are allowed for me. The little one I added to my collection last year, took off like I can’t believe. I was truly shocked. It’s almost as big as my largest, and I’ve had that one potted for about 8 years now!
Our Spring weather is typical right now… we swing between hail storms, wind, rain… and brilliantly sunny skies. No complaints, the plants love the mix of sun & rain.
Wishing you all the most lovely week!!!! Shan
