Though it’s presently pouring (typical Spring weather in Oregon) Spring is so close!! This Saturday is the official first day of Spring, and my hands are positively itching to dig into some potting soil and start working on my deck garden [you can tour it, click here]. I’ve got to take inventory of all my pots (I’ve already picked up a few new ones!), get things all cleaned up, and decide what is going where. I know I definitely want another Rock Rose, and lots more Stock. I’m about at the max capacity for Hydrangeas, but it’s so hard to resist new varieties. If it weren’t for the Deer, I’d have a massive garden… but I don’t, since it would just be an all-you-can-eat-buffet for them. It’s probably the biggest “con” of this property, we are right on a Deer trail. Of course I can’t blame them for wanting to snack and nibble, and we’ve been known to toss them apples because they are cuties. But, I still hide everything tasty up on the upstairs sun deck. Cause I’m mean like that 😉
