Summer At The Farmers Market
Getting to go to the farmers market is one of the very best parts of summer here on the Oregon Coast. It’s held outdoors, the weather is beautiful, and there is an abundance of fresh produce. Everything is so vivid and beautiful. When I visited last, I made sure to take some pictures so you could come along.
Summer At The Farmers Market
Everything is ultra fresh, and bursting with the smells and tastes of summer! From basics like tomatoes, to Lemon Cucumbers and more.
Everything is beautifully displayed and you can feel the pride the growers feel in there offerings.
The colors are so vibrant and rich!
The fruit is especially fragrant and you can smell the tart sweetness as you linger by the stands making your selections.
I avoided full shots of the booths so as not to make anyone uncomfortable, it’s a well attended local event. Trust me, it’s a riot of color and really something to see in it’s entirety.
Even if something isn’t a personal favorite, it’s all eye-candy!
The little time I spent shopping and snapping pictures was a real treat. It felt like a mental vacation and was thankful for the respite from work and chores. We’ve been incredibly busy in the workshop and keeping our new larger booth down at Vintage 101 full during the tourist season.
You may have noticed my light posting the last few weeks. I’ll be back in the swing of things soon. I’ve got projects planned, renovations down at The Little Cottage to get underway and a big secret something I’ve had in the works!
It’s almost ready to share.
I think I am going to P O P if I don’t get to spill soon!!
In the meanwhile, I’m sharing snippets & tidbits on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM if you want to follow along!
Blessings, Shannon
PS: There are prepared food vendors as well. All handmade. Delicious BBQ, killer tamales, a plethora of fudge flavors, cakes, cake pops, candy, baked goods, kettle corn, shaved potatoes, fresh-squeezed gourmet lemonades and juices… it’s yum-yum-yummy!! There are artisans as well, but I missed getting any photos of their wares. Although I did by a gorgeous beaded bracelet.
I guess I was enthralled by the produce.
I just read your posts about your life and battle with cancer.
Thank you for sharing your personal story and I know your story and
advice will touch many and be a help to many who experience depression and
serous illness. May God richly bless you and your family.
Hi Margaret, thanks so much for the lovely comment. It was my intention that it might help someone out there, even if just a bit. Depression is an ugly little beast. Some folks have let me know it was helpful to them, and that makes me very glad I shared. Blessings, Shannon

Marty, can you believe I forget to talk about the bread? It’s like card heaven. lol!
