World Ocean Day {a friendly reminder}
I know we all love the BEACH!
The ocean.
Sand.
Surf…
and turf 😉
I just wanted to take a quick second to remind everyone that if you buy any product that uses the plastic, 6-pack rings, to please take a moment to to snip all the rings apart before putting them in the trash.
Better yet, assign this task to the kids! Let them be helpful, aware.. and take this practice with them into adulthood.
I won’t share graphic images of sea, fresh-water and wildlife life starving, malformed.. and worse from being trapped in the plastic because it’s very shocking.
I’ll just use this little old blog of mine to give a friendly reminder to cut them up on this World Ocean Day and everyday. All the little tiny actions we take do make a difference.
Since they can’t ask for help.. I thought I would.
If you already do this, HIGH FIVE!
If not, I hope this will encourage you too.
Thank you for the great post. I am an advocate for all God’s earth and ocean angels and so wish people would listen to how little it takes to save a life. Nothing should have to suffer the horrible death and deformities these innocent creatures do due to our carelessness. Please help to save our planet and all forms of life. They are all here for a reason.
Exactly. It a simple thing, and they are helpless. It’s up to us!!
Thanks so much for sharing. We don’t buy anything with the rings; but, it’s still something to think about going forward. Will commit this one to memory!
We are off soda here at our house, but I know some juices and mixers come in 6-packs too. Always safer to pass on the knowledge, than not. Happy Summer!!
