My life. In a nutshell.
This Summer has flown by!
The end.
Just kidding.
After my quick trip to California, I’ve been doing physical therapy on my knee
a few times a week.
If I could stop re injuring it. It just might get better.
We painted her bathroom and did a mini makeover while I was there. There is zero natural light though… and as cute as it looked, none of the pictures turned out!
Thankfully, her flowers are outside.
These are my sister’s Hydrangeas.
(picture perfect beauties!)
Austin and Jim went to Yellowstone on a whirlwind “guy trip”. I leave them to it and let them have their boy bonding time.
They even took my nephew Nate this year.
They had a blast!!
We had company from NYC.
Jim’s dad and step mom came for a visit.
They guys went out crabbing and we had a big family dinner over at my sister in laws.
I did not take any pictures.
(We were busy eating)
I made over some tin cans.
le’ cheap&easy crafting
Jim, Austin and I have all intermittently worked on our fireplace. There have been a few design changes… but Jim is going to work on laying the hearth tiles tonight and it should be done very soon!
Austin turned 16.
I shared a little about that here.
He had a backyard, tent camping, sleep over party complete with tv and video games in the tent! They had a blast!! He really isn’t into stopping for pictures, so I left them alone.
Jim & I had our 20 year wedding anniversary.
(this is the only photo I have scanned into the computer… remember, this was twenty years ago!! lol)
We will be celebrating in January when we go to Oahu so we sort of glossed over making a big ta do over it. Otherwise, it turns into two celebrations. Which is fine… but we want the Hawaii trip to be the big deal!!
Had a giant 2 day garage sale.
(no photos)
We got to have more company!
My sister & her guy Brett came to visit us from Southern California.
We had such a good time!!!!
They wanted to stay longer and we would have loved it if they could… but, they had to go home.
Austin and I drove them up the the airport Wednesday and they are home safe now.
Day trip to Bandon By The Sea.
I’ll have some more pictures to share of our adventures while my sister & Brett were here soon. Brett is up for anything and so fun.
We were all over the coast!!
The new La Craie paint is set to arrive this coming week. So… I am like a kid waiting for Christmas!

You have been busy! Even with that lame knee, you have managed to squeeze a lot out of summer, and even a DIY project! Can’t wait to see how the fireplace turns out.
HUGE congratulations on the 20th anniversary. We celebrated 20 years, next May 1st. I know MAY DAY, MAY DAY. The joke never gets old…..
Ahhhhh Hawaiiiiiiii. I wish I was there now, I can almost smell the Plumeria and hear the ocean.

What a great summer you have had. Do you have a place to see what is for sale as far as paint? I am really excited to learn more about it. I’d like to see your colors and prices too. I bet you are excited! I am excited to see more that you paint!

I walked through your house over at Debbie’s. You have a beautiful home. I remember seeing your kitchen reno before thinking what a major change it was! I do have one question about the chalk paint. Is it as expensive as the “other one”? I love the concept but have a difficult time paying the price for it. I tried to make my own – chair turned into a giant plaster mold!

You’ve had a busy summer! Now I know why you’ve been so quiet. lol
Happy Birthday to Austin!
Happy Anniversary to you & Jim!
When Jim is done with the fireplace, can you send him over please? We ripped our fireplace tile up last week, opened a can of worms, and we know we are in way over our heads! I’m just hoping we can get someone here to finish the job for us.
So happy to see your house featured at Debbies. It’s beautiful & you should be proud of how far it has come!
