Beach Chic Aqua Farm Style Bench
It’s here… It’s finally here!
It’s Day One of the Great Spring’tacular Link Party
and It’s My First Ever Copy Cat Entry. Eek!
I think I am more of a free~flowing decorator…
ideas come to me and I usually fiddle around until I like something, then call it done.
Decorating with the intent purpose of recreating something was a challenge for me.
With the added handicap of having
BIG ~ FAT ~ ZERO ~ $$$’s
to complete this task.
I happened to be surfing around pinterest when the cutest bench caught my eye. It is no surprise I liked it, since I practically have it’s twin!
Well!
It was my lucky day.
I thought that it was so fresh and pretty and I even liked the driftwood candle holder.
I live on the coast, this will be a snap.
Nope.
It’s then that I remember you are not supposed to remove things from the beach.
No biggie, I have a second idea.
I’ll get a large branch and Jim will hollow out the candle holder spots for me.
It’ll just be a little less beachy and a little more woodsy but that’s okay!
It’ll just be a little less beachy and a little more woodsy but that’s okay!
Nope.
We looked all over our property and we could not find the right shape or the right size.
Third time’s a charm, right?
I remembered I still had the white stick
I used to make that candy cane hanger at Christmastime.
I used to make that candy cane hanger at Christmastime.
Maybe that will work???
It’s a little less wood and a little more candle… but it’s Fresh & Springy!
And remember, I did not spend any money. Not a dime.
I think the floating candles add whimsy and this would be something very easy to re-create with simple votive holders, glass dishes and jars.
Nothing too fancy, but pretty and fun.
I would definitely do this again for a tea party, shower or Easter Brunch.
Again, here is the inspiration piece side-by-side with my version.
Happy Spring
