Drop Dead Wicked Delicious Cookies
Hi there, my name is Shannon… and I’m trying to kill you. Actually, I’m not. I really like you! Please keep reading… When I was thinking about what the heck to call these… Drop Dead Wicked Delicious Cookies just came to me. I figured I didn’t really need to title this post “chocolate, chocolate chip, walnut, tortilla chip cookies with fudge frosting and bacon recipe” because that my friends is a mouth full. And you want to keep your mouth open, so you can shove cookies in it.
When I shared the cottage in this post here, you said you liked the video, and I promised to do more so I made my first “cooking video” – It’s not super fancy, because this is me we are talking about., but I hope you like it. Enjoy…
Drop Dead Wicked Delicious Cookie Base:
- One boxed cake mix (for this recipe I used Chocolate Fudge)
- One 1/2 cup of cooking oil (I used Canola Oil)
- Two eggs
This is where things get interesting and you can start “adding on” more yum!!
My boys love chocolate, so I have to do the chocolate chips.
I love crunch, so I get more creative with mine! I added Walnuts (you can lightly toast them first to bring out even more flavor). My sister made a cookie recipe once called garbage cookies and I recall her adding potato chips, so I tried tortilla chips! It might sounds odd, but they add this amazing salty-crunch. You probably saw towards the end of the video… I threw calories to the wind and added a pinch of chocolate fudge frosting.
And BACON.
As far as the frosting, I just warm up a bit of frosting and drizzle it onto the cookie, let set up about halfway, and sprinkle on the bacon. You can buy pre-cooked bacon bits for this. There are so many delicious ways to make semi-homemade treats that look and taste really special. As I make more concoctions, I’ll be sure to share!! As far as the drop-dead thing goes, think you’ll be okay if you just eat one. Okay two. Three tops.
Better warm up that fitbit, as you warm up the oven. You might need a few extra “steps” today.
Happy Cookie coma friends! xoxo Shanon
My mouth is watering…these look so yummy!
Now we’re on the same page, Shannon! I miss cooking / baking, but since hubby dropped his excess weight and only eats goodies when he can walk it off, I bake less. (Note: That doesn’t mean I don’t miss the good stuff!) The chocolate cookies minus the chips and bacon would be awesome for me, and the carrot cookies I saw would do a disappearing act like you wouldn’t believe (as well as Hubby, who would be out walking all day! ha!)
I know!
Eat one… while walking 🙂
And they call me a blonde… hahaha
Pinned ’em. The devil made me do it.
The devil made me make em 😉 hehe
Shannon, these look awesome! You really are killing me here. The tortilla chips are an interesting addition. I love a mix of sweet and salty…so, these sound delicious. Hey, I’m the one over here who will take a bite of a vanilla wafer and then, a bite of a barbecue potato chip. Odd combo, huh?
Not at all! If I eat ice cream… I want a few chips after. It’s so a sweet & salty thing!! 🙂
Happy summertime!!
