Best Electric Fireplace TV Media Consoles

I recently shared my bedroom makeover and our new electric fireplace media console was such a hit, I thought I would gather some of the cutest ones I could find to share with you! I looked for electric fireplace TV cabinets with great style, great finishes and of course a great price! The fireplace console media cabinet models I’m highlighting heat a variety of areas, from 400 to 1000 square feet, and most even come with remote controls!

Number One: I thought I’d start with our new electric fireplace TV cabinet we added to our master bedroom during our recent makeover [see it here]. This is from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart—heats up to 400 square feet, has a touch panel and handy a remote control. In my opinion, the classic lines aren’t too anything in particular, lending it more of a timeless feel. I can paint it in the future if I desire, and change out hardware for a fresh look.

On a personal note: I had toyed with the ideas of getting something like this for a few years, but it kept getting pushed down the priority list. When my February Better Homes & Gardens assignment called for a furniture purchase and a room makeover, everything feel into place! Jim was on board with helping to give our room some much needed attention [with that new shiplap wall], and being able to get a fireplace TV stand was finally happening. It has felt like such a luxury to have an alternative heat source in this room. From an energy efficiency standpoint, I really love that we don’t have to use loads of extra resources to try to over-heat our entire house simply to keep this one room warm, and feeling cozy and dry — instead of chilly and damp! And that it doubles as our TV stand makes it work twice as hard.

Now, when we crawl into bed we can click it on, and in about 7-10 minutes, it’s super comfy and I can click it off with the remote, without getting out of bed! I’ve also taken to clicking it on and standing in front of it before I hop in bed, or when I’m fresh from the shower to warm up as I get dressed. I even turn it on if I get the chance to read in my chair, whether I have the heater on or not, since you can just have the flames dancing, without turning the heat on. It’s one of those things I already don’t know how I managed without! I actually felt like that the first night I used it. It just makes our home feel a little more perfect, as we continue to make changes that make our home look, feel, and work smarter & harder for us. I would absolutely buy this item again, and I can see one working marvelous in our family room, in our guest cottage [click here] living room, basically any room with a TV that could use some extra warmth!

Number Two: This one is super similar to mine—boasting a 23 inch fireplace insert, remote control and concealed covered door storage. With it’s deep finish, I think it could easily go rustic, industrial or farmhouse.

Number Five: This is also a Better Homes & Gardens find! It’s from the same collection as many of the BHG pieces I’ve shared with you over the years. I actually like this model a lot, but the lower price of my unit won out, as I had many other parts & pieces to purchase for my bedroom makeover project. I also wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay married to “barn doors” for as long as I expect to keep mine.

Number Six: This made the cut for the low price point coupled with the high ratings. It also heats up to 400 square feet like the other units I’m highlighting, and it comes in four different finish options: Black Oak, Espresso, Walnut and White (pictured below)

Number Seven: I really liked the washed & weathered look of this pine fireplace TV stand and the vertical wood accent on the doors! I feel like the finish is pretty versatile and could lean coastal, masculine or farmhouse.

UPDATE: I recently took the time to update this post so that all the electric fireplace media consoles I’m sharing links to are actually in-stock and available. I myself find it very frustrating to look at shopping guides that feature nothing but out-of-stock merchandise! 

My goal with this article was to share the best looking fireplace TV cabinets I could find within a reasonable budget, featuring the best options, for the lowest price. You can certainly spend more but these offer a good value for the price point. I’m partial to the lighter colors, but a few of these media consoles have darker wood look options as well. Most of these electric fireplace TV stands need assembly, but I think that helps to keep the cost down. Assembly is nothing to be intimidated by. It takes nothing more than basic tools to put them together, and they come with very easy to follow step-by-step instructions in my experience. I’ve put so many pieces together now, and all they really take is time. I suggest snacks and a good movie, or two.
