I’m Rocking Some Retro
at the Cottage This Christmas!
I’m loving the energy in the sun room this Christmas.
It’s sort of “retro”.. with a dash of vintage thrown in!
I was really excited to decorate
the sun room for Christmas this year!
It’s the first big holiday since we added
our fancy “new” counter top.
The one we made out of old fence boards.
I’m sure it’ll be “the next big thing”! {haha}
DIY Style Repurposed Fence Boards Into Counter Tops.
I tell you what though..
It sure is fun to decorate!
I love all the texture and I wish we had done it sooner.
Well, it wasn’t gold, but you know what I mean.
I used it last Spring as an Easter Tree.
It was a real $&#^@ stinker to store too.
It as great having it on hand and ready to go without spray painting
another one though. So it was worth it.
The silver platter was a Goodwill find
and the mercury glass piece is technically
a Christmas tree topper..
but I love it as-is.
So there ya go! I re use my regular everyday items,
hunt the thrift stores, improvise…
and stuff anything that will stand still
with ornaments at Christmastime.
Thanks for stopping by!
and Happy Holidays.. to YOU!

Shannon- It looks absolutely beautiful. It is absolutely gorgeous and I love the vintage look of it all. You have made your home beautiful this Christmas! GREAT job- xo Diana
Oh, Shannon, it’s totally incredible!!! I’m smitten… I love the colors you used and those cute little funky green trees… you’re amazeballs!
Sounds familiar – thrift store finds are perfect! I’ve got tons of Shiny Brites – they just don’t make them like that anymore!

Shannon,
Everything looks so festive and I love your mixture of colors. I always dig the retro vibe 🙂
Shannon,
Such a gorgeous display! The combination of colors is so festive and your diy shelf in the sunroom is the perfect background for all your beauties! And yes, it makes me want to find some old barn wood!
Oh I love this Shannon, so fun and happy! Love all the ornaments 🙂

Loving these colors Shannon! Gorgeous sunroom!
Your sun room looks fabulous, girl! The colors are incredible and I love the tip about using plain ornaments as filler so that there are plenty but not all need to be vintage! I’ll be on the lookout, starting now, for next year! Two weeks ’til Christmas! I’d better get going! xo, Kimberly
Your sun room is just enchanting! I love all the festive touches.

Your sunroom looks great Shannon! I love the vintage colors. So bright and cheery and festive!
