PS: Now about that weekend (if you’re interested). Friday night I went to bed not feeling too hot, and surprise to me, woke up with a crazy rash on my legs. If felt more like a sunburn than anything else, very warm to the touch, and red. Then, I was hot and cold all over, all day, and when the evening rolled around and my teeth were chattering, Jimmy made me promise if I wasn’t feeling better Sunday morning, I’d go to urgent care. So, Sunday, we found ourselves at urgent care. LOL. My rash had spread, and my already lymphodema afflicted legs were extra swollen, and not at all happy. I got a double diagnoses of phlebitis, with orders to take ibuprofen and to keep elevating. Monday I had the ultrasound they scheduled (to check for any blood clots) because apparently my specific cancer history, and my chronic lymphodema make me more susceptible. As I type this, I don’t have any results yet, but I don’t expect anything abnormal. I’ll tell ya though, not fun. I’ve had so… sooo much done to me over the years. But they’ve apparently gotta push pretty dang hard, in some pretty tender areas (hello, bikini line) and I was not prepared for that! I’ll just say this. I didn’t cry when I had Austin natural, my major surgery, or my knee replacement. But I leaked a few when I had that ultrasound done! What the heck? hahaha. I definitely do better with a little forewarning.
Okay ladies, that’s it. I’ve gotta go put my legs back up. xo Shan

I know… I’m falling apart 😉 LOL
My ultrasound came back CLEAR.
And I’m just going to have to be more careful, as my lymph nodes will never grow back. Ugh.
Just have to stop and elevate more frequently and be more mindful.
THANK YOU
I’ll be praying for you, Shannon!
I so enjoy your posts.
Suzanne from PA
Thank you SO very much!! My ultrasound cam back clear, so that is good!!
I am sorry to hear of the challenge you’re experiencing now. This will pass. I too had an ultra sound for a blood clot. And yes, that sucker hurt!! It’s over and done now it’s all ok. Keep those footies up!!
I am so glad to hear I was not being a whimp! haha
But not that you had to have one too. No fun!
I’m being good, buy it’s hard though.
It’s sooo beautiful today. I’m going to do some up and down and see how it goes.
(ultrasound was CLEAR)
I am so sorry to hear you are having some “not so fun” days. Hang in there. I cry a lot more than I did when I was younger. We have held it in too much, I think!
Rest and find some Peace.
Oh Carole, I’m sorry to hear that sweetie.
I’ve always been a cryer at movies and such, but I think if letting it out helps, by all means do!
You take care now 🙂
Hope your test results come back with positive news!
I got the all clear yesterday!
Just getting to be at my computer today.
(my legs are propped up) 😉
