Coastal Cottage Christmas Bath
A warm holiday greeting to everyone, and welcome to day 5 of the Christmas Room Tours, hosted by the lovely Chris, from Just A Girl.
Chris had the brilliant idea to turn her annual home tour event into a bite-sized tour this year. So each blogger on the tour will be focusing on and fully showcasing just one room. If you are a first time visitor, a big HELLO and welcome to Fox Hollow Cottage!! Our cottage is located on the coast in Oregon, where I live with my husband & our son. And that would be the reason I had to have the lights on to take all my photos. No natural light on photo shoot day! What they say is true, we do get some gloomy, rainy days here. Lots of green though. So it’s a good trade off.
If you are here visiting from Eleven Gables, wasn’t Emily’s kitchen tour just a jaw-dropper!? Big time swooning over here!
We have been renovating, remodeling & refreshing our home since we purchased it, and when I got the invite from Chris to join in for this event, I was so excited and knew just the one room I wanted to share!
Our main floor bath! I haven’t shared it since I showed you how we “made it over” without remodeling [here] and having the fireplace mantel in place, I knew I really wanted to decorate it this Christmas!!
And believe me, if there were an outlet next to the tub… you can bet I’d have a lighted garland on it too!! I made due with a mercury glass garland instead. Much safer.
And I knew Moby would love to Winter-over in here and spread some Christmas cheer!
He is feeling all merry, stuffed with a mini flocked Christmas tree! He even has a tiny vintage ornament dangling from his tail.
At least… I choose to think he is feeling merry!!
He could be silently cursing me? Oh well, I’ll never know!
A few tiny bottle brush trees gathered together on a hammered silver platter keep this area simply decorated.
I draped another mercury glass garland from the sconces, and across the mirror. It’s almost like there are three!
A few little Christmas touches were all it took in such a small room, so I was done decorating in a snap.
I had picked up two little flocked trees at HomeGoods at the beginning of the season and I’m so glad I did! I loooove a flocked tree, and with all the white here in this room, the snowy, flocked feel is just right.
A few handfuls of tiny vintage ornaments worked wonders to bring some festive Christmas color in!
I sprinkled a dash on the cake plate and a few at the base of the white bottle brush tree.
These old vintage theater marquee letters have been so fun to decorate with! I wish I could have afforded the whole box… for endless possibilities.
Total luck that the D E C fit like they were made for the front three bins in this galvanized organizer! I’d had it tucked away for months and turns out, it works fantastic for storage here in the bathroom!
As always, thank you so much for spending a little of your day with me!! Your visits & comments mean the world.
Wishing you everything bright & beautiful this holiday season,
xo Shannon

Shannon your bathroom is so cute. Love the whale with the tree- how cute is that! I like all the sweet accents you’ve added for Christmas. The snowman is adorable.
Thank you so much Liz!! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas.
It’s darling!
Thanks Julie! Merry Christmas 🙂
Your bathroom looks so amazing! Love all the Christmas details, Moby looks very merry!
So stunning! Love that ceiling!! And thank you for linking to all the tours, I’m so honored to be among all of you this year. xoxo
Same here! It’s my first year and I’m tickled to be included.
Happy Holidays!!
Shannon, your tour is so lovely! Love the little whale and detail. I only wish my bathrooms were decorated. The collection of bottle brush trees is precious. And those flocked trees!!! I was kicking myself that I didn’t pick some up early in the season. Beautiful!!
You know how my HG is four hours round trip, so we made a special trip up before Thanksgiving and I bought everything I could get my hands on. lol
Just kidding 😉 But I did buy too many pillows. It’s a blessing and a curse it’s so far. I think I’d live there if it was in town.
Shannon, your coastal Christmas bathroom is just darling, and I knew it would be! Loved every detail!
Thank you! I only wish it was a brighter day out.
Those low-light pics get a little grainy. Drives me bonkers. lol!
