DIY Primitive Kitchen Towel Holder
Hey there! I’m Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage and I’m back to share another project with ya! 😀
I’m all about easy projects that make a big impact, and that’s just what this DIY coat hanger to towel hook does. The cottage farmhouse feel is a bonus! Not only was it silly easy to make, but it was entirely free. And the fact that it looks amazing is the cherry on top.
I started with your basic metal coat hanger. You know, the kind that gets tangled up in the closet…
Then I used my wire cutters to snip one side of the hanger…
I started bending the wire…
And used my pliers to squeeze out the corner of the hanger…
Once I had the corner smoothed out and bent the way I wanted it, I wrapped the end of the wire around the hook of the hanger…
And I kept wrapping it around…
…until I felt it was secure. Then I snipped off the extra wire…
And used some needle nose pliers to squeeze all the wire tightly together…
With that, it was done and ready to use! I told you it was easy! 😀
It feels very primitive to me…
It’s very simple and I love that…
Plus, it looks amazing with wood cutting boards, ironstone, tea towels and apples… just a few of my very favorite things!
Now, I think I’ll go raid the closet of a few more hangers… each one of our rooms might need one of these! 😀
