More Jewelry and Accessory Organization Ideas – Use Vintage Finds!
If you visited the blog here recently, you may have seen the new organized scarf and accessory station I put together. If not, you can find it by clicking here. I added it to “my side” of the room of course. I sure am glad my husband could basically care less what I do to our house, as long as I’m happy.
I love that about him!
While I was working on the wall, I also took advantage of my dresser top.
I added some inexpensive whatnots I’ve picked up while out thrifting and used them to gather my bracelets and fun fashion rings. The cheap, tacky stuff I love. I discovered a wonderful, magical store called Charming Charlie when I was in Cali last and I managed to drop a few bucks getting my gaudy fix.
The last time you saw my vintage dish drainer, it was like this…
Now it’s a hard-working, organizing machine!
Holding necklaces, my Hawaiian name bracelet, earrings and a pretty little aqua dish-o-goodies.
I stole the Spring Bird Art I made from the mantel for this area. It was lacking glitter.
And we can’t have that!!
I’m not super into diamonds. I swear I love my cheap stuff as much as the real thing!
Especially earrings. I like to lose those. Roller coasters in Vegas are so not my friend. After two pair, I gave up.
Hey, I have one of each though.
When I shared the Scarf & Sunglass section, or “sunnies” as they call them in OZ. (I love that!) I forgot to share my fav place to get GUESS goods. ROSS. Yep, ROSS Dress for Less. I get GUESS stuff there all the time. Handbags, wallets and sunnies. Have for years!
The gold clutch wallet was $20. Down from over $50 when I saw it a Macys’.
A few weeks prior to the wallet, I got brand new GUESS sunnies for under $20. I saw the exact pair at Macy’s last year for over $100. I really wanted them too but I didn’t splurge. Imagine the little “YES!” I let out in the store when I saw them and the price. Oh yeah, they were ALL MINE :)))
I honestly can’t believe how lucky I got with these bargain finds. As long as you keep a sharp eye out, finding accessories for fallen prices can happen, though a find like this is rare for me! There’s no doubt fashion can be expensive, but by being savvy in the style world it really doesn’t have to be. For example, that Gucci purse you really wanted but has a way too steep price for your budget? Invest in some fake Gucci; you can barely tell the difference, and it’s much cheaper! It’s all about keeping a bargain head on at all times!
Now, I’ll be ready for the Summer sun with my cute new glasses. It’s the little things. I get tickled pretty easy.
Thanks a bunch for popping in today ~ Blessings!
