Hello-Hello
I’m happy to be here sharing this Super-Simple Pumpkin Decorating Idea.
No-Carve Pumpkin Decorating with Washi Tape
This is just one of those easy crafts that produces a cute result, and a smile!!
This could be a great craft for little ones that can use safety scissors or with an adult doing the cutting. They could just tape to their hearts content with no mess for mom, grandma, or the helper to clean up! The stems don’t necessarily have to be painted. I think these would make a darling little “thinking of you” gift too. Good from now, clear through Thanksgiving. I bet a teacher would really enjoy something like this for their desk.
I “peeked” you these in the Fall Home Tour and giveaway and promised a closer look and a how-to, so here they are.
Look how timely I’m posting this? See, I’m getting better!
I want you to notice how at the top of the pumpkin, where the paint tape meets the stem, it’s not perfect.
They don’t have to be. Just cover the pumpkin.
Super Simple. Super Quick.
You’ll Need:
1. Pumpkins. I used wee ones that were 3 for $2 and about 4 inches high.
3. Scissors
4. Gold Craft Paint. (color of choice, or no paint if you prefer a natural stem)
5. Craft Paint Brush
Step #1. Paint stem. Let dry.
(Use colors/patterns of choice – totally customizable)
Step #2. Apply Washi tape in vertical direction. Cut ends.
Step #3. Apply Washi Tape in horizontal direction. Seam in back.
That’s it! Like I said, super simple.
With the endless patterns and colors of Washi tape there are a million combinations possible.

The Pumpkins with the washi tape looks so cute. Can i use larger size pumpkins than what is shown? Just wondering. Thinking about trying it out.
I’m sure you can! They’ll just take a little more tape (: Happy Halloween!!
