Gilded, Gold and Glam Organza Pumpkin Makeover
Hi guys!
So you know how I am always shop, shoppin’, shopping at ROSS?
Well. I did it again.
I got this cute, primitive style pumpkin.
He was only eight bucks too, and while there was nothing wrong with his coloring, I wanted something a little more… SOLID GOLD. (if you’re my age, you sang that) hehehe
To make him golden and gorgeous, I turned to the Maison Blanche Paint Company.
Here is how I did it:
- I coated him with Maison Blanche paint in Baguette to act as a base and cancel out the orange.
- Let dry.
- Then I started in layering him up with Organza Shimmer Coat!
- I layered on Gold, Antique Gold and a bit of Wrought Iron paint. (for depth)
And here his is! Ready for a hot date with a little pumpkin Qt.
The metallic shimmer is just magic!
The depth that the two shades of Organza added is just pure luxe.
You can’t see it as well in the pics but I just wanna lick him!
He is sparkletastcic.
Here he is a little closer!!
I’m really excited to do something new and I’m planning on doing a lot of metallic.
Gold, Mercury Glass, Silver… some Pewter. Fun-Fun!!
Maybe even some glitter too.
You know I like that sparkly stuff.
I’m so cheap.
Maybe I should get some gold lame leggings… ?
Do you think I’ll need the shoes too?
Thanks for stopping by!
Boy what a great change, he is looking mighty spiffy!!!

Super cute Shannon! I love the gold with the silver!
Thank you Shanna! You paint some beautiful pieces so I am extra flattered that you like it 😉
I love him! I too picked up a shimmery gold pumpkin at Ross! I am lovin using gold accents. Funny, years ago I swore I would never have brass/gold in my house!
I know. Me too! I have painted gold, silver. But it just bit me??? I have no idea why? The gold just looks so pretty with the new white walls. I really think that is it.
You go first on the gold leggings. I think I might look better if I just painted some of the organza shimmer on my thighs!
That is adorable! I absolutely want one now!
Good luck. Like I said, ROSS. $8 and some paint :)))
How fun!
Love it! Awe go ahead and get the leggings 😉
Debbie

Honey, you make gold look absolutely beautiful and I hate gold, lol! Great job yet once again Shannon!
Well. I do too!? I’m so confused. lol
You’re so funny! It looks perfect gold. ;0)
Pumpkin is adorable, but please, no leggings!
Not even if I get the shoes to go with?
How pretty!!! Such a soft gold too.
Hmm… I think I might be falling for metallics!
Exactly, I love our golds. They don’t have that harsh, brassy look some do. They are buttery and lush!
Girl, if you’re gonna buy those leggings, you gotta get the shoes!!! LOL!! Love your little pumpkin!! The gold is fabulous!!!~~Angela
Shannon, I love your gold pumpkin!! He’s definitely luxe! I love anything in metallics; and this is so cute!!
