I have a blog?
Oh yeah!!
… just playing! I promise I didn’t forget.
I know I’ve been a bit absentee, and sadly it’s not because I’m working on some super intensive, ultra fab room makeover.
Happily, it’s because I’ve been busy with Summer activities, house guests, family and celebrating our sons 18th birthday!
Plus, I’m doing something that I have not done in about 15 years.
I’m going to be participating in the first annual Marshfield Vintage Market here in my hometown.
I Am So Excited!!!!!
Myself and many other vendors will be coming together to bring you the best the Southern Oregon Coast has to offer.
I’ts been years since I did a market and I’ve been working hard to get all my wares ready. With only 3 weeks total to prep for the show, I’ve been spending every minute I can creating, crafting, building, painting… well, you get the picture.
I shared a few peeks on instagram (a great place to follow me fore real time project developments) of what I’ve been working on, and I’m just getting a few minutes to check-in here and let you know what is going on at the hollow.
My favorite piece so far is this vintage farm cabinet Jim and I showered with TLC.
We picked this from a barn and it is 100% authentic farm style.
I can’t wait to show you the “after”!!!!
Okay… one little peek at the “during”.
I’m just waiting for the hardware to arrive, and as soon as it does I’ll share the finished version.
Below is an accent table we put together using reclaimed lumber.
It’s just a cell phone photo.. and the top is only dry fit, not even attached yet, but I think it’s fun and super versatile!
Some things will be painted, others stained or varnished.. but all the rustic flavor will be left intact. You know me, I like everything, so there will be a mix of styles in my booth. Farmhouse, cottage, coastal, shabby, chippy… and ???
I’m looking forward to creating something on these blank pallet art bases and deciding what colors to paint the rustic farm trough boxes. These are just a few of the shapes and sizes we’ll have!
I might just have to make a whale like Humphrey to include in the sale.
So that is what I’ve been up to!
I’ll be back to sharing DIY projects, home decor, crafts and etc’s again real soon. I’ve got so many things to share. I just need the time to get some photos edited and the articles written. I hope you’ll hang in there and stick around.
For now, I’m busy-busy with the vintage market and I’m so thrilled to be a part of it!!!!
There were a million reasons not to sign-up for the event, but I ignored them all and I’m going for it.
The worst that can happen is I’ll have a LOT of cool new-old stuff. Right?
Wish me luck (:
Blog… what blog?
You’re going to have a blast and, quite frankly, I’m just jealous that I don’t get to go. Good luck with all your prep!
Thank you!! I made rag garlands all. day. yesterday. My fingers finally stopped operating and I had to stop when I could no longer make a knot! Reminds me of my first floral job when I made bows for 6 hours straight, and could not move my hands the next day! Good times. LOL!!!
Good for you(!!) … I *guess* we’ll forgive you for neglecting us while you pursue your passion and awesome upcoming event. I wish I could be there … love what I’m seeing so far!
Thanks so much Becca. I’m pretty excited.
I hope y’all are settling in well!!
I wish I could shop at your vintage market! You’ve got some awesome pieces, can’t wait to see the afters 🙂
Me too. haha.
Lots of painting to do this weekend.
I’ll make sure to share afters and booth pics!!
It’s summer and that’s a great excuse to be absent!! It is so short lived in our region of the world so we must take full advantage!! 18!?! Time slips by so quickly… I can’t wait to see what all you take to the market. So much fun!!
I wish I had more time… but I’m doing my best 😉 And time goes by at lightning speed it seems…
That sounds like so much fun! Can’t wait to see what you have done. Have fun & take plenty of pictures!
I think is should be and I sure will!
Whale…. that sounds pretty exciting. And that is the second silly comment pun I left on a blog today.
But you are so good at them!! Thanks for stopping by :)))
