Hi friends!
As I reported last, I am getting ready to be a vendor at the Marshfield Vintage Market!
I wanted to take a few minutes to check-in and and let you know that yes, I am still here and I am still blogging. After next weekend things will be back to normal around here. Well, as normal as they ever are.
Today I’m going to share a bit of the sun room and a wee bit of what has been keeping me busy. If you like cottage style with a dash of vintage flavor, these sweet, shabby garlands are going to be right up your alley. They are right up mine! In fact.. I don’t know how I am going to part with them. I get a little attached.
How do y’all with shops and booths create and paint and part with it?
I’ve been busy creating, crafting, painting and building.
(along with help from my guys too!)
I’m so hopeful that the shoppers like what I have to bring!!
I’m a little nervous.
Okay, a lot nervous!!
I got some serious hand fatigue tying all these garlands I made, but they are SO CUTE! You don’t think cutting a zillion strips of fabric would do it, but I guess that can happen with any muscle you aren’t used to using. Once I started though, I just had to make one more.. and one more, and just maybe one more.
You get the picture. When I like something I get a little obsessed.
Man, I wish I did not like cookies…
I made fluttery garlands, fat garlands, short and long.
Some are more colorful than others…
And I love the uniqueness in each of them!
This little peek is all I had time to highlight right now.
What really makes me love these little pretties so much, is that you can create any look you like, for any occasion, using a multitude of fabrics and ribbons… in any size and any color!
You can adorn furnishings with them… drape them across a window and watch the breeze make them flutter, hang them on a wall, in a nursery, bedroom.. or use them as a photo backdrop or party decoration!
They just make you smile.
And smiling is good.

LOVE these! I made one with ribbon for my Guinea Pig’s condo! It took way more ribbon than I had thought. But, it looks really cute outside my piggies cage. They love it too, seems like they have a taste for pretty ribbon!
hehehe.
I can picture little wiggly Guinea Pig noses muching ribbon now 😉
These are so pretty! I’m making stuff too and yes, it is difficult to part with things I make!
I love all your pretty little garlands! How come when I tried to make one of these before it looked ridiculous?? I guess I just don’t have your creativity. 🙁
Good luck with your sale!
Shannon, they are so soft and very pretty. I just love fabric and texture, your garlands sure do well. Good Luck.
Thanks a bunch Linda!! I know I’ll be making more.. for me. haha. I’ll need one for Fall 😉
… and Christmas.
Is that gorgeous hutch available for sale anywhere? Love it!
Hi Kathy, I bought that about 12-13 years ago at The Great Indoors off the 71 in Southern Ca. – I got several pieces there. I don’t know if they still carry anything like it?
Love these! So cute & yet so easy to do! Good luck with your booth!
Thanks so much Linda!
So YOU!!!!!
Love em all! They are sweet and sassy ……… Best of luck in your new endeavor! It is ez to get attached and want to keep just 1 and then maybe 2 and so on! Are you having separation anxiety?
YES! I like them all.. and the benches, the boxes, the pallet art… lol.
Love your garlands-they should sell out quickly! Maybe you could tell us how you made them? Do you tie the fabric pieces and ribbon onto yarn or cording? I am not asking you to disclose your technique (hee-hee) so maybe after your sale you could give us a wee tutorial??? Good luck with your market sale.
Hi Maggie! I will so do a tutorial and share everything as soon as I get a chance to do a more in depth post! I am going to have lots to share. No big trade secret 😉 Just need time to get the during photos and write it all out. Thanks so much. Shannon
I love these!! I’m going to have to make one for my screened in porch.
Good luck on your market place day. These should see like hotcakes!
Me too. Once the sale is over I am going to be making several for myself, and maybe a few gifts.
This are so precious, Shannon! I love how you can make them to fit into any decor scheme! Beautiful!! Good luck at your show!!!~~Angela
Me too! I really like things that can be customized (:
Oh how I adore these garlands. They are beautiful and I can only imagine those poor little fingers and hands of yours!~
Thanks Debbie. Yep, I need to do some finger exercises! LOL!!!!
I love the garlands Shannon… Good luck at your booth! I just put 2 hutches in my room and I REALLY don’t want to sell one of them (I want to keep it for display) so I put a ridiculous price on it LOL. If it sells… it will be ok 🙂
I have heard others say that. (the pricing high) hahaha. Well, I hope you get a zillion dollars or get to bring it home.
I love it and your hutch looks so pretty.
Thank you so much Betty! It was in my sons room for several years and I’m so happy to have it back out in the main part of the house 🙂
There beautiful, I am pinning:)
Love them Shannon — best of luck to ya in the marketplace! You’ll do awesome! xoxo
