Hocus Pocus Halloween Mantel
I created a fast and easy, classic black and orange Halloween mantel in less than 15 minutes by using everyday and inexpensive seasonal decor items! The only new addition was a Hocus Pocus inspired sign I bought, which also supported a small business!
It put a spell on me… and I had to have it! My new Sanderson Sisters witch museum sign inspired my Halloween mantel this year, and I couldn’t love it more! Fast, easy, and just plain FUN. Come in, but whatever you do, don’t light that candle…
With a million other things I felt were a bigger priority, no littles in the house, no party planned, and frankly no energy to spare… I wasn’t even planning on decorating for Halloween this year. And then it happened. I saw the sign.
I was on Instagram, just minding my own business. Popping around visiting, and BAM. I’m blaming it all on Allison from The Festive Farmhouse. She worked with The Handmade Haven Sign Co. and created this Sanders Sisters sign… and well, once I saw it, I needed it.
But I waited. I waited days and days… trying not to think about it. Because we all know I “needed” a Halloween sign like… well, you’ve seen my Home Decor Storage Room, so you know.
So of course I ordered it! And then I watched for my delivery notification like a little kid. And when my husband came home without it on the day it said it was delivered, (we have a PO Box) we went right back down there! After a thorough search, it was found and came home with me. It was in large box, but very skinny. Apparently it was trying to hide! Like I was going to let that happen?
Once home, I had it unwrapped and the mantel decorated in 15 minutes flat!
You might notice I’m still using my gold mirror and the candlesticks from my Fall mantel. I simply layered my new wood Halloween sign right in front of the mirror! On the left side, I added my two-tone orange & black glittery bottlebrush trees and a Dollar Tree crow, along with some of that fabric they sell every year.
On the right, I used a glittery black haunted house that got a stay of execution from my recent garage sale. A happy accident to be sure!
I really didn’t want to get carried away, so I kept it super simple under-the-mantel with a pom-pom garland ( I love those things!) and an OCTOBER 31 banner I picked up in the Dollar Spot at Target, probably two years ago. It was still new in the package.
Filling my fire box with twinkle lights is something you’ve seen me do for years, though normally at Christmastime. I love the glow, even after the holiday and into Winter.
So cute! I love how everything looks!
THANK YOU 🙂
I think this is the best mantel decoration I’ve seen! I love it! I can’t imagine why you wouldhave been thinking of putting that adorable haunted house in a garage sale. Too darn cute!
hahaha! I must have somehow known I need it, at least once more 😉
Thank you! I’m so glad you liked and enjoyed it!
Have a wonderful Halloween.

Oh gosh thanks… I’m so silly sometimes.
