Hi Fox Hollow Cottage junkies!
It’s Johnnie from Saved By Love Creations, Printable Decor and Totally Green Crafts.
Maybe you remember me sharing a tutorial for creating watercolor backgrounds not long ago. Shannon must really love me, cause I was invited back!
(Psst, It’s Shannon. I do! I do!)
Today I am showing you how to repurpose your empty wine bottles into cheap, eco-friendly home accents.
Cutting wine bottles is pretty easy, as you will see in the video, and requires just a few basic supplies you probably have on hand. There are endless ways to use them once they are cut. Make drinking glasses, candle holders, lanterns, vases and more. Minimal cost and simplicity make this project ideal for gift giving and home decor.
How to Cut Wine Bottles VIDEO TUTORIAL:
You can use the top part with the neck, as well as the bottom part of the bottle. Make sure to sand rim after break with medium grit paper. If you have a sander attachment for your drill, that works too…
Here are some of my wine bottle upcycles (click images for full tutorial):
If you aren’t up for cutting bottles, paint them with a cool ombre effect using glass paint available at your local craft store. Easy as can be!
I hope you are inspired to hoard wine bottles and get crafty with them.
Thanks for having me over, Shannon.
Shannon here, you see how she started with Aqua flowers…
and ended with that Aqua ombre beauty?
