Washi Tape Open Cabinet Shelf Update
Got Open Shelves?
Got Washi Tape?
Then you’ve got a 2-minute makeover on your hands!
When I took the doors off a section of my kitchen cabinets to achieve that open cabinet look that is so cute (and popular), I loved it. Until I was bored.
While I still loved being able to actually see all my things, I do like change.
About a year later, I removed all the shelving, took a deep breath and painted.
When I was done, I decided not to put all the shelving back in.
Fast forward a few months and one day, I wanted to add just one shelf back. Problem?
I had never painted them to match the new Magnolia White cabinet box, or the Wrought Iron backs. Black, or white? Tick-tock, tick-tock…
View: Fall Home Tour Here.
Next thing you know, it’s Fall Home Tour time and I’ve got naked shelves.
And in the wise words of Rabbit; “That just won’t do!”
So I did what any
laz really smart girl would do!
I popped some washi tape along the front.
Accessed the situation.
and called it GOOD ENOUGH.
Man, ya gotta love good enough 🙂
Plus, I never had to pick… black, or white.
I suck and decision making.
This stuff comes in every color and pattern under the sun so have fun!!
(I’ve even heard rumors that the Dollar Tree has it!)
I know where I’m using it next. I just need to do a little organizing and purging first.
I thought this was a pretty cool idea and hope you do too.
I love the easy stuff that is doable, affordable and makes me happy.
Life is short. Do what makes you smile.
